WELCOME
==========
STRANGE BUT TRUE..
-------------------
The twin cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis recently held
a race between a local bus and The Batmobile !! The local transit authority
wanted to prove to commuters that the bus was the quickest way to travel and so
arranged the contest between an MTA bus and a replica of the 1966 TV show car.
The winner - the bus ! The people carrier used the bus lanes while the dynamic
duo's wheels got stuck in a traffic jam.
And on that note, have a great week.

DAY OF JUDGMENT #2
Written by Geoff Johns; art and cover by Matt Smith and
Steve Mitchell.
As the battle to save humanity rages on three fronts,
Wonder Woman, Supergirl and the JLA's Zauriel lead their team to Heaven to
persuade Jim Corrigan to return to his role as human host for the Spectre. But
when Corrigan refuses, the heroes head for Limbo in search of another hero to
take up the mantle. Meanwhile, Superman and Zatanna lead a team into hell to
reignite its fires. (32 pages, $2.50)
AZRAEL: AGENT OF THE BAT #58
Written by Dennis O'Neil; art and cover by Roger Robinson
and James Pascoe.
The Day of Judgment strikes "No Man's Land". As
the demons of hell have been pushed up from below to the surface, Azrael comes
face to face with his most feared demon -- St. Dumas. The founder of the Order
of St. Dumas -- the being most directly responsible for Azrael's strengths and
weaknesses -- tempts the Angel of Vengeance during one of Gotham's darkest
days. (32 pages, $2.25)
BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT #123
Written by Steven Barnes; art by Paul Ryan and Andy
Lanning; painted cover by Bill Sienkiewicz.
Bock returns to his old neighborhood in "No Man's
Land" in part one of the two-part "Underground Railroad,"
written by novelist Steven Barnes. Bock has returned to his old stomping
grounds and plans to protect it from the NML territory wars, but when children
start getting deathly ill, "Hardback" must go to the Penguin for
help. Meanwhile, a mysterious man named "Tubman" may hold the key to
escaping from No Man's Land. (32 pages, $1.99)
JLA: SUPERPOWER
Written by John Arcudi; art and cover by Scot Eaton and
Ray Kryssing.
A new hero joins the JLA in a thought-provoking one-shot.
Introducing Mark Antaeus, powerful new member of the World's Greatest
Super-Heroes. Tireless, fearless, dedicated, Antaeus has sacrificed everything
to become the ultimate force for good. Is that enough to earn him a place
within the JLA? Or is it somehow too much? It's a question that divides the
League, as Superman and BATMAN see potential in the young hero, while Green Lantern
sees something a bit less ideal...and a lot more dangerous. (64 pages, $5.95)
NIGHTWING #37
Written by Chuck Dixon; art and cover by Scott McDaniel
and Karl Story.
The pulse-pounding conclusion to Nightwing's first
"No Man's Land" adventure. With Blackgate Prison flooding and dozens
of murderous villains at his throat, Nightwing must complete the task of taking
the penitentiary back from Lock-Up and his trustees. Even if he succeeds, he
may be of no more use to Batman after what he's suffered at the hands of
Blackgate's worst. (32 pages, $1.99)

BATMAN BEYOND #3 - TRIO NO MORE ?
---------------------------------
Batman Beyond #3 scheduled for November 24th shipping is
being solicited by DC as featuring the return of the "Terrific Trio"
from the animated show ( episode #8 "Heroes'). However GWN has learnt that
the legal eagles at DC are allegedly concerned about the trio's resemblance to
a certain marvelous foursome (Wasn't that the point anyway ? - AJP) and have apparently
asked for the story to be pulled. The replacement story will possibly feature
the Royal Flush Gang .

JLA 80-PAGE GIANT #2
