Another GWN from the road this week as I'm city hoping up and down Southern California. As a result this week's issue is a little on the short side. Despite that I hope you find enough of the usual news and information.

As always have a good week, and all the best.

NEW EDITOR IN THE BAT-CAVE

------------------

DC Comics has hired Matt Idelson, an editor at Marvel Comic, as the newest editor to join the Batman titles under group editor Dennis O'Neil. Idelson begins at DC on March 22. Idelson comes to DC after six years at Marvel, where his titles included Deadpool, Captain America and Hulk.

"Matt's been one of Marvel's up-and-coming editors for a few years now, and with titles like Deadpool created under his guidance it was clear he was developing a unique voice," said Mike Carlin, executive editor of the DC Universe. "DC values this quality in an editor, and we look forward to having Matt add his voice to Denny's Bat-Group of titles."

Idelson joins the Batman titles in the midst of the "No Man's Land" event. "I could tell after 15 minutes' conversation that Matt's goals are the same as ours -- to do quality material and have fun along the way," O'Neil said. I think he'll be a terrific addition to the Batcave."

"I'm very excited to be able to become a part of DC Comics, and specifically the Batman group," Idelson said. "DC has always managed to do top-notch work in the classic super-hero genre as well as new, really cutting-edge stuff, and I'm thrilled to have the chance to make a contribution. I look forward to the challenges ahead in helping to influence the big resurgence of the Batman franchise."

GREEN LANTERN / NIGHTWING MINI

------------------------------

Artist Georges Jeanty recently told the Comics Continuum web site that he's reached agreement with DC Comics to do a two-issue Green Lantern/Nightwing mini-series that could start as early as December. According to Jeanty, tentative plans are to have Green Lantern's Ron Marz and Nightwing's Chuck Dixon each write one issue, with respective series artists Darryl Banks and Scott McDaniel providing covers.
