IN MEMORIAM
This issue of GOTHAM WEEKLY NEWS is respectfully dedicated
to the memory of GIL KANE. Although not an artist normally associated with
Batman, he did draw a few tales of the Dark Knight. But whatever his
contribution to the legacy of our favorite hero, he was one of the true greats
of the comics field and his distinctive style will be missed.

YEAR ONE OR DARK KNIGHT ?
----------------------------------------------
Harry Knowles of AIN’T-IT-COOL NEWS reports that rumored new
Batman director Darren Aronofsky, is a BATMAN and a FRANK MILLER fan. But he is
not too enthused with the idea of a BATMAN YEAR ONE film that may contains
training sequences and story dynamics that we’ve seen in nearly every “young
hero comes of age” movie over the last 30 years. Instead, it appears that
Darren is sold on the idea of shooting Frank Miller’s DARK KNIGHT saga instead.
