Mookie, Catty's less-than-brilliant pal is revealed, and Deadman Boston Brand

Weisman and Pat Broderick bring you Captain Atom and the rest of Justice League
battling the gargoyles of Notre Dame. Jim Alexander and Cam Smith spin a
magical tale pitting the Silver Age JLA against a lethal leprechaun. Newcomers
Todd Seavey and Bachan spin a parable that finds Batman, Superman and Green
Lantern as Earth's only hope against an alien religious sect's attempt to

Will he succeed in "saving the children," or will Robin die first --
from embarrassment? Can Batgirl extricate Tim from this mess? (32 pages, $1.99)

CHUCK DIXON'S Y2K DC PROJECTS
---------------------------------
Writer Chuck Dixon recently announced his plans for his
2000 projects on his Dixonverse website. The announcement included details of
his upcoming BATMAN related work.
"John vanFleet and I have another project to follow
up on The Chalice," Dixon said. "It will be a two-part prestige
mini-series featuring Batman and will be in current continuity. It will feature
the same kind of grand themes and epic scale that made The Chalice so special
and will intro a new villain.
"I'm also busy on Robin: Year One with Scott Beatty
and Javier Pulido. We're into Book Three's script now. "I'm also doing two
of this summer's 80-Page Giants. In the Robin 80-Page Giant, we'll have some
surprise guest-stars and a major continuity event that's been too long in the
coming. The Spoiler will be along as well and a brand-new villain. A Batman
80-pager will feature the return of Calendar Man. It'll be the same Julian Day
we all thought was such a lame-o in the past. But he'll have a brand new
motivation and costume and gang and I'm hoping he'll join the pantheon of more
dangerous Bat-villains as a legitimate contender. It's a kick getting to work
on these extra-length stories. Especially with the Calendar Man. I've had this
story in mind for him for years but needed a special venue for it. This
80-pager provides that."
BATBOY & ROBIN - MORE DETAILS
-----------------------------
Another Dixon project is the upcoming Young Justice
tie-in "Batboy & Robin" DC have recently released more details on
this.
Batboy & Robin #1 - written by Chuck Dixon; art by
Cary Nord and Mark Lipka. "A de-aged Batman can't let any of his enemies
find out what's happened to him, so he asks Tim Drake to don the mask of the
Bat, while he dons the Robin costume! It's an ill fit for both as they try to
track down the magician Zatanna, who may be able to reverse Klarion's spell.
Meanwhile, the Witch Boy pays a visit to the Penguin!"
EDITOR MATT IDELSON TALKS HARLEY QUINN
----------------------------------------------------------------------
DC Comics editor Matt Idelson has said that the upcoming Harley Quinn series by
Karl Kesel and Terry Dodson will be "very different" from other
titles he has edited. "I find her to be intriguing in a great many
ways," Idelson said during a recent AOL chat. "Besides the obvious
element of comedy, she's a very flawed, very intricate character. We plan to
honor everything that Paul Dini established with her, the things that made her
work to begin with. Getting out from under the Joker's thumb is an early
priority for the series," he said.
