WELCOME

==========

Welcome to the 1st edition of GOTHAM WEEKLY NEWS from its new server. Thanks to all of you who took the time to reregister.

Our move to a new server will also mean a new home for GOTHAM GAZETTE and the BATMAN GUIDE UPDATES. Watch for more news on this in upcoming issues of GWN.

NO ROOM !

---------

I've finally run out of room to store all my Batman and comics related stuff. So I'll be clearing some space by selling off a variety of comics (not just Bat titles) and even some Batman stuff on eBay over the next few months. Look out for items under the seller ID [email protected] .

IN NYC

--------

I'll be in New York next week and hope to get some time to swing by the DC offices and get a chance to catch up on all the latest Bat news.

Have a great week.

NML NOVEL PREVIEW

--------------------

The Batman: No Man's Land novelization, written by Greg (Detective Comics) Rucka. Will be previewed in a special 8-page excerpt from the upcoming novel from Pocket Books added to December's Detective Comics #741. Already solicited as an extra-length, 40-page issue, the excerpt brings Detective #741 to a total of 48 pages with no increase to its already announced cover price.

According to DC, "Narrated by Oracle from her bunker, the novel documents the fall of Gotham City and the shifting of power within the city from a patchwork criminal network back towards the forces of 'the Bat'. Batman: No Man's Land marks the first comics novelization by Rucka, the author of acclaimed crime novels Finder, Keeper, and Smoker."

"Greg Rucka is a rare talent," said Charles Kochman, Editor - Licensed Publishing for DC Comics/MAD Magazine and editor of this novelization. "Not only is he an excellent comic book writer, but he is one of the best crime novelists around, which is why he was asked to write this hardcover novel. Rather than do a straight issue-for-issue novelization, Greg expanded upon the No Man's Land storyline, making his adaptation work first and foremost as a novel. Comics fans won't be disappointed, nor will readers approaching this material for the first time."
