TV SHOW SCHEDULES & NEWS

KINGDOM COME TV MINI-SERIES ?
----------------------------------------------------
The Dark Horizons movie news site reports that a
"spy" from Warner Bros. may be looking to turn Mark Waid and Alex
Ross' Kingdom Come into a TV mini-series. The DH spy claims to have
heard that WB is gearing up the epic story as a four-hour show to usher in the
new millenium. This is alleged to be in the same vein as recent big budget
(and successful) TV shows like The Odyssey and Merlin. Seems to good to
be true and given WB's recent troubles with superhero properties - very
doubtful.
BATMAN & ROBIN ON HBO
-------------------------------------------
HBO will premiere Batman & Robin, the 1997 film
starring George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger, in July.
NEW BATMAN / SUPERMAN ADVENTURES
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Batman/ Superman Adventures airs on the WB Network weekdays at 4:30 PM and Saturdays at 9:30 AM
Eastern and Pacific time on the
Kids' WB!
NOTE: Shows #1 - 85 are the classic "Batman: The
Animated Series" style. Shows #86 onwards are the "New
Adventures" style.
For those of you without a WB affiliate you may find the
new shows on:
- WGN on Sunday mornings at 9:30 central/ 10:30
eastern standard time.
- Some UPN
stations are also running the shows on Sunday at 10.30 ET
- Global
Television Network on Sundays at 10 am

can be found at http://www.wbanimation.com/cmp/ani_12sl.htm
The Irish TV
station RTE2 broadcasts The New Batman Adventures on Tuesdays around 5pm. These
are the new episodes and sometimes they air ahead of the USA.
NEW VIDEO RELEASE
----------------------------------
The New Batman/Superman Adventures three part World's
Finest episode is due for release on video in August as "The
Batman-Superman Movie".
Mike Weatherford reports that the "June 13 issue of
Billboard has a one-paragraph review of "The Batman/Superman Movie"
as though it's already out ... maybe they were sent a screener and didn't pay
attention to release date or maybe they have a policy of reviewing their screeners
well in advance. Anyhow, it notes that
Warner "created this high-flying "movie" by splicing together
(credits and all) three separate half-hour episodes." ...It lists an
80-minute running time. $14.95 retail."
BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES

MOVIE RUMORS
********************
FROM GEORGE HIMSELF
-----------------------------------
From the Comics2Film newsletter comes a report that
"Detroit Free Press film critic Terry Lawson recently interviewed George
Clooney about his recent experiences working in C2F's hometown of Detroit on
the upcoming release Out of Sight. Although Lawson's write-up focuses on
that movie, the topic of conversation eventually turned to the irresistible
topic of Batman. "I thought I had killed that franchise,"
Clooney told Lawson of the prospects of a sequel. As far as whether Kurt
Russell was going to take over the role of the caped crusader, Clooney
mentioned he had a contract for the sequel and if he was being replaced,
"somebody would have to tell me." Clooney also told Lawson he'd
like to do the next movie if the script could be "along the lines of the
Dark Knight comic books. That's a great story, and it's never been told
on film."
