WELCOME

----------------

It seems the quiz in this month's Gotham Gazette has everyone beat as I haven't had even one e-mail yet from anyone attempting it. So I've decided to run it here as well to see if any of the e-mail only readers can come up with some answers.

FAMOUS FIRST WORDS.

The following quotes are the first words spoken by various classic Batman characters on their comic book debuts.

Can you name the characters ?

1."Mother ! Father !"

2."Now that Batman & Robin have been put on ice."

3."Well Comissioner, anything exciting happening these days."

4."The Claridge diamond-mine ! Those bungling Police - how they would like to know how I manageed it !"

5."What's the matter ? Haven't you ever seen a pretty girl before ?"

6."Look at the time ! I better finish my costume for the Policeman's masquerade ball tonight."

7."Your Honor, I call the State's first witness ... The Batman"

8."I ought to win for sure !"

9."Beautiful, Marvelous, Gorgeous..."

10."This rat was behind the murders."
