*A Message from Cat. Former Moderator of Gardner High RPG for more than three years.*

Gardner High Members,

As many of you are aware of, there's been a bit of a shift as far as
the status of Gardner. I've fielded many questions as to why all of
this has taken place and out of respect for CS, I've kept my mouth
closed. But as it turns out, I am not being shown that same respect.
So I feel the need to let all of you know exactly the type of hands
I will be leaving you in.

First off, CS, contrary to popular belief, is in fact a woman by the
name of Connie Knotts. I was told from the very beginnings of
Gardner that CS's name was Steve. I'm sure many of you were under
the same impression as I was and will find this a bit disturbing.
What I find most interesting is her need to lie about her true
identity and the fact that she told several members that the C in
CS standed for Connor. I am glad to see however that she herself has
finally decided to step up and make this known.

Second, the reason Brooke left is because CS refused to apologize. A
while back CS asked Brooke to tell her and the rest of the mods when
a group member came to her about a problem on the list. When Brooke
came to CS about the incidents involving Rena's characters, CS
snapped. It is clear to me that CS had it out for Rena and her
characters as both times CS felt the need to attack her characters.
CS refused to back down from her stance that she was in the right.
This led Brooke to come to the decision she did.

Also, many of you have had complaints about CS and her attitude as
of late. This I believe came in direct result of Athena, the
creator, handing over ownership rights to CS. She let this go to her
head and she feels like she is now in complete control and refusing
to give it up (even though she said she would). She's also violated
many rules that we as moderators set down.

In her email to the list, CS says that Brooke was threatening to
take members away and that she stepped down from moderator on her
own accord. This is simply not true. CS stripped Brooke of her
moderator rights and then placed her on moderate status without
consulting any other moderator. CS has shown bad judgement in
bashing Brooke, even when there's no evidence that I've found
against her, when she has no way of defending herself.

The four of us, myself, Brooke, Olivia, and Rena, have started a new
group called Richmond_High_RPG, which can be found at
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Richmond_High_RPG/. We are not
actively seeking out members, we're just letting you know where we
are going. Yes the game is new but we have over 20 active members
who came from Gardner, on their own free will, and are creating
the game even as I a write this. It was not our intention to ruin
Gardner in leaving the game, but I have to follow my gut feeling on
this. It does not set right with me to follow an owner who feels the
need to lie and deceive her members.

If your character has been deleted from the files section of
Gardner, I apologize. I, along with my wonderful sidekicks ;-) have
taken up the tedious process of deleting characters who's owners
have requested it. If you feel your character was deleted by
mistake, please email me and I'll make sure it's taken care of.
Brooke has copies of all profiles thanks to her work on the Gardner
site and it will be forwarded to CS, who I would hope take care of
it.

I'm sure this message will be deleted from Gardner, which is why I'm
also posting it on the OOC board. Honestly I feel I've done nothing
wrong since I'm just relaying the facts. CS can call me whatever she
feels and honestly it won't hurt my feelings. At least my conscience
is clear.

For those of you who were sticking around because I said things
would get back to normal, they won't now. CS had told me that she
would hand the group over to me on Friday but she's changed her mind
(big surprise!). So there's no need to stay, unless of course you
want to.

I will miss you all as well as this group. It's been a part of my
life since its beginnings. I'm sorry this had to end this way but
like I said, I can't follow a leader who lies, deceives, and
manipulates the truth.

Dear Members of Gardner High,

I would have told you all of this in a post, but I have been removed as a moderator of Gardner High, and been placed on moderated, so that I cannot actually post without the approval of the remaining mods. Not that it matters, because I already have all of your email addresses in my address book. Myself, as well as Rena & Olivia, will no longer be Modding, or playing Gardner High RPG. Due to, what I shall just call an 'incident', we all felt that we could not continue to play under these conditions, and have since decided to head elsewhere. I know most of you will be very concerned about what has happened, and for that, I am very sorry. The three of us truly did love Gardner High, and myself especially, put many, many hours into the creation of the Website, and the graphics that you have seen on Gardner High RPG, & Gardner High OOC. We will be taking our characters elsewhere, and these characters will be intergrated into the new game, that Rena, Olivia, and myself will be running. If you wish to be a part of the new game, we would all love to have you, and all you need to do is contact me through my email address, or the High School RPG Network. I am by no means saying that I think you should leave Gardner, I am merely advising you of what we are doing. I have requested of the Owner that they allow you all the opportunity to take your characters with you if you do choose to leave, but as neither Olivia, Rena, or myself will have much of a say in matters, I cannot promise you that you will be able to do it with ease. If you actually created an original character however, it is your right to demand that it be removed if you were to choose to leave. I will truly miss the good times that I had with this game, and I really am sorry that it has had to end... But I guess I can only hope to create a greater game, with an environment that I feel everyone would be happy to play in. Take care, and I really do hope to hear from you all soon.
