Tools
Tools are used in circle work and spell casting. But remember without the Witch they are useless. Some debate does exist as to whether tools are need of not. Personally I (Aryanna) don't think they are a necessity, personally I dont have a wand, athame or broom and I find my rituals to be deeply fulfilling but some people may find the use of tools to enhance their rituals. But everyone's different and it a personal choice to be made as to whether you want loads of tools or not.
Athame Dark handled knife used to cast the circle, invoke and release the elements. Sacred to the God and to the element of fire. Never used to cut anything other than air.

Broom No, they're not for flying! The broom is used for cleaning the working area before ritual and for protection. Sacred to the Goddess and the God, and to the element of water. Round brooms are said to be better than the flat 'shaker' style brooms.
