"How do you know my name?" Lu said
"You mean you don't recognize your old friend Ti
Koten?" the man laughed.
"What'?" Lu screamed, "No, it can't
be, I saw Ti Koten's body.
"Yes you did," The man said, "And here
it is, tada."
Lu was petrified. It looked just like Ti Koten, even
the hole in his chest where the guard's sword had hit him. Even the blood stains
on his robes. It looked as though he had got up and left the castle. But how?
The strangest thing was that even though Lu
could
feel Ti Koten's chee, he didn't feel his presence, his life force.
"How is this possible?" Lu Chao roared.
"Ah," Ti Koten said, "you asked the
fatal question. How about this? I unleash an entire army upon you, if you when,
I tell you. If you lose, well, I guess you would never know."
Before
Lu could answer the room filled with hundreds of warriors. Lu used his tornado
attack
to destroy those close to him, but he crashed into an emerald wall that stopped
the
attack.
Lu produced a shockwave finishing off the rest of them. Ti Koten stepped
forward. "Impressive," he said
"Now," Lu Chao said, "You will tell
me."
"Not quite," Ti Koten replied, "You
see, I said I would unleash an army upon you.
I
also said if you defeat them all you would
learn the secret. You defeated those unleashed, but not all the army. You still
must fight me."
"The real Ti Koten would never go so low,"
Lu spat.
"The real Lu Chao wouldn't. cower in my
wake," Ti Koten countered.
"You
aren't Ti Koten!" Lu shouted, "I, more than anyone knew it was
pointless to fight Ti Koten! You fraud!"
Lu struck Ti Koten square in the face. Ti Koten
struck back. Lu created a shock wave that knocked Ti Koten across the chamber.
Lu rushed toward him and pulled out the Shio Ken
sword. He held it in front of the faker’s face. "You aren't Ti Koten!"
Lu said again. He closed his eyes and thrust the sword forward.
Lu opened his eyes and saw a green stone, glowing
where Ti Koten's face was.
"Is
this, emerald Shio Ken?" Lu said. He was astonished. even more astonished
when he heard "Yes,"

"Ti Koten?" He gasped. "Yes," Ti
Koten moaned, "Thank you Lu. You now have the emerald Shio Ken stone, and
have destroyed Ti Shee Kin's influence upon it. With that his eyes closed and
the glow of the stone dimmed.
Lu picked up the stone. He put it, the sword and
ametha Shio Ken into his sac and faced the wall. He created a chi blast that
destroyed the wall.
He found a tunnel leading to the surface. He followed
it. When he emerged he was swarmed by soldiers. They had armor that Lu had not
heard of. None of his attacks could hurt them. He was outmatched. Even the Shio
Ken sword proved useless against the armor.
Lu pulled out ametha Shio ken and produced its
energy. It helped, but there were too many to beat without being attacked from
behind. He pulled out emerald Shio Ken. Its light created a mass of green light
that destroyed many of the soldiers. It took little effort to finish the rest.
How bazaar.
Lu finally came to the entrance of a temple. Written
on it were words in an ancient language, however, it was one Lu could read. The
words said "Temple of the Sun."
It was nighttime when Lu entered. A flying person
greeted him in the courtyard. Lu followed him, but met a strange person in his
path. The person created a chi blast but Lu countered it with a shockwave. This
destroyed a pot behind the person, revealing a body.
Lu climbed on the wide wall of the yard and went
after the flyer. He met another interference. He easily got past and ran over
another pot. He finally jumped off the wall and entered the Temple.
It was dark inside, lit by dim candles and occasional
flashes of lightning from outside. Someone stopped him and tried to blast him.
Lu easily beat him, but another person attacked from behind.
Lu knocked a candle from the wall and the attacker
burned. This was too easy. He walked on and found a gap in the floor. It was too
wide to get across. Then a chandelier fell into the hole. It began to rise back
up. Strange. Lu, taking the invite, jumped on the chandelier and quickly jumped
onto the ledge beyond.
Was this a trap? Lu would soon find out.
