Chapter 9

         The mountain peak came into view. Chevrelet descended toward

it and called, "The it is."

        Suzuki followed.  But they weren't the only one's at the

mountain.

         As the slope went upward, Isuzu could see a grove of trees off

in the distance.  But was it the one the boy had mentioned?  He

certainly hoped so.

        Suddenly, two figures appeared in their path. One appeared

to be animatronic, the other, a woman with a blue uniform, black

boots, yellow gloves, a white X on her chest.  On her right

cheek was a green D overlapped by a scarlet L.

         The robot produced a small light, which became another robot.

More and more of them appeared.     Then, the boy who had left them there, the girl he had attacked, and two other people landed.

         The robots began attacking and blasting viciously.  With

relative ease, Isuzu banged two of them together.  The two

machines exploded on impact.     Three, robots encircle Chevrelet and Kia. Chevrelet blasted one to smithereens, but the other two produced four to replace the destroyed android.  

        Panicked, Kia�s hands glowed and she

shouted, "Emerald wave!" A wave of green light vaporized five

of the robots, and Chevrelet finished the other.

        "Where'd you learn that?" He asked.

    "What," Kia said, �That thing? 0 that's nothing major, everyone can

do that." Chevrelet looked puzzled.  "Can't they?" Kia added.

        Toyota made quick work of about ten robots by simply dodging

their shots causing them to hit each other. Suzuki blasted off

many robots, but they soon had him covered with about twenty.

He began to glow, sparks fountained off of him.

        "Lightning attack!" he shouted as bolts of light shot in every

direction.  Kiasaki became entangled in a battle with Saktee.

    Saktee created five orbs of light, which zoomed from all

directions toward Kiasaki, but the rogue was too fast and came

up with an uppercut that knocked Saktee to the ground.

        Kiasaki created a star of light with a red white and blue

streaked tail.  The comet struck Saktee and looped, finally

stopping in a circle with the star head in the center. When

the light faded, Saktee fell to the ground.

        Isuzu was being pummeled with robots, but he was eliminating

them as fast as they came.  When it, seemed he was clear, he

prepared to go help the others.  But, just then, a man in a

purple tanktop and baggy yellow pants landed in front of him.

He smiled darkly.

         "You aren�t going anywhere." he brought his hands together and

shouted, "Kao!" a green beam struck Isuzu and made him stagger

backward. He created a Yamahah that knocked the man backwards.

Oren got up and began pounding Isuzu, who blocked every shot.

    Robots rushed toward Kia and Chevrelet by the dozens, swarming

them.  They became so numerous that the children could not move.

Chapter 10

        Then, quite suddenly, the robots melted, some exploded.  In

their wake stood a blue and yellow armored guy with a white

helmet.  Before the boiling metal could fry anyone, it hardened

into a platform.  As the fight between Isuzu and Oren raged on,

Spectro waved were hand. Suddenly, Oren collapsed, the ground

beneath him a blaze. The flames died and Oren sank into unconsciousness.

         As everyone prepared to move up the mountain, the air filled

with smoke.  Struggling to breathe, Spectro created the image of

what was happening?  Luckily, Kia and Chevrelet had already seen

it and were heading after the act.

         When the smoke cleared, Saktee, Oren, Kia, and Chevrelet were

gone. Everyone walked farther, reaching the rocks in the grove.

Kia and Chevrelet were waiting.  Just as said, in the center of

the rocks were a num-pad.  Chevrelet typed the code.

         A whining sound alerted the onlookers to a large tree with a

seven foot opening in its trunk. The seven stepped inside

the tree, which turned out to be an elevator.  When it reached

the bottom, a door slid open, revealing a large chamber. Waiting

to greet them, were Tarfin, and ten defobots.

        "Welcome," Tarfin said greetingly. "Thank you, Chevrelet, for

leading them to me."

        "I'll give you no such pleasure," Chevrelet spat.  Isuzu stepped

forward.

        "You," he said, "killed my family.  I will not let you go unpunished."

         �0 really," Tarfin laughed, "Has your brother's mistake taught

you nothing?"

        Isuzu lunged at Tarfin, moving faster than he could block.
