My Mom & Dad
He was a very good father and my friend, who enjoyed salt and freshwater fishing, Duck & Quail hunting and the sound of a good Blue Tick, Redbone or Black & Tan hound in hot pursuit of a Coon, Fox or Deer. I do not think there was anything in life he liked more than the sound a pack of hounds makes when they have a "Big Ole Coon" treed or what they sound like in the cool evening after a Fox. He also liked a good cigar and Jack Daniels straight. He was a good hearted man with a strong voice who found the Lord at a late time in life, but I am sure he is with my Mom where good Christians gather in the "Sweet Bye and Bye".
My Mom, without a doubt my "Best Friend". Through her my life began, and through me hers will always be a wonderful memory. She was a good Christian from early childhood as a member of the Salvation Army at age 13 and continued to be a member until her death. She never had an evil thing to say about anyone. She brought me up to treat people as I wanted to be treated. She was a small woman in stature, but made up for it in heart. I have an easy piece of mind, knowing she is in a place she longed to go. To be with her best friend, my dad.
