For this sweater, I used a beautiful "Chestnut Heather" color yarn from the Lion Brand Wool Ease collection. The pattern is from the Tahki Stacy Charles Fall 2003 pattern book and was designed by Rosemary Drysdale. There are so many nice projects in the pattern book, so I really recommend it.
The sweater is knit up in pieces and sewn together, then the collar is knitted on. I had some major trouble with the zipper, as the only zipper that I could find that matched the color exactly was way too long. I had to cut it at the top and stitch the ends so they wouldn't fray. But never fear, putting in zippers is NOT as difficult as it seems. Just give it a try! |
