Raglan Sweater

January 18, 2005: Here it is, a seamless raglan type sweater based on Elizabeth Zimmermann's E.P.S. (Elizabeth's Percentage System), in which you decide on the measurements you want for your sweater, calculate the gague, et voila, you have all the necessary info for your own personalized sweater! The exact guidelines come straight from Elizabeth Zimmermann's book "Knitting without tears", which happens to be my all time favorite knitting book. Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease Chunky in "Willow". Needles: Size 10 circular (I used size 24" for the body and 29" when uniting the sleeves), size 10 dpn for the sleeves, and size 9 dpn for the collar. Gauge: 3.25 stitches = 1" BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN CALCULATING YOUR GAUGE! THIS TIME IT REALLY IS IMPORTANT! |
