Irish Moss Stitch Scarf

I just finished a scarf for my mom made with "Oxford Grey" color yarn from the Lion Brand Wool Ease collection. I used a really lovely stitch called "Irish Moss Stitch" from the most wonderful knitting book in the world: "Vogue Dictionary of Knitting Stitches" by Anne Matthews.

Cast on even number of stitches.
For this scarf, cast on 40 sts. (makes a wide scarf)
Row 1: *k1, p1* rep to end.
Row 2: *k1, p1* rep to end.
Row 3: *p1, k1* rep to end.
Row 4: *p1, k1* rep to end.
Continue this pattern until you have the desired length.
Bind off stitches.
Optional: Use the extra yarn to make a decorative edging on the bound off edge with any crochet stitch of your choice. I made a scalloped edge on this scarf.
