Aran Scarf for Elisabeth

I knitted this scarf for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Aran patterns are really popular now, and instead of buying an Aran scarf from Old Navy or the Gap, I decided to copy some patterns and knit one myself!

Yarn: Cascade Yarns, Tweed Cascade 220, 100 g.
90% Peruvian Highland Wool, 10% Donegal (Tweed)
Needles: size 7
Gauge: no gauge calculated

Notice how the 2 cables are winding in opposite directions.

Cast on ?? sts.

Rows: repeat from * to end.

Continue pattern until scarf is desired length. Blocking will add another 12" to the length.

Notes: Unfortunately, this hand dyed yarn was not color fast, so my bamboo needles and finger tips became a lovely shade of pink while knitting... I had to rinse the scarf 5 times before the water ran clear, but the end result was very pleasing!
