1970 Volkswagen Standard Beetle

This is my "new" 1970 Standard Beetle. I am going to try and document my build-up of this car. I have always liked VW's, and this is my second. I will try and post pics of my first, a nice 67'.
I bought this car for $1400 on 5/2/2007 in Jacksonville, Florida. I am going to go for a Cal-Look build initially, but when I have more time and money, I'll go in a different direction. As you can see it has a little front end damage. The good news is it is minor, and the former owner was nice enough to give me a hood. I'll post my progress here, for all who care.

I have been slacking on this project, as well as this page. However, I have just installed a 4" narrowed and adjustable beam. I am in the process of properly narrowing my tie rods and replacing my tie rod ends and ball joints. I will post some pics. I have also installed new fenders and a new bonnett. The next hurdle will be to get it tuned and running properly.
