| Game 1 reg trivia game: Reg trivia is played very simply the first color on the board gets the point for there teams color. In other words, if we are playing colors of pink and brown and I ask a question pink comes in first on my screen. Then pink scores a point for there team. Note : we go always by askers screen because all screens are different because of lag. This game usually takes longer to play than power trivia and therefore it is played to only 20. Meaning the first team to reach 20 points wins this game. Game 2 Power Trivia to Block game: PTTB is played by the askers accepting all points earned by one team before the other team can submit a correct answer. In other words if playing pink and brown and pink team players submit the correct answer 4 times before a brown team player does, then the pink team will get 4 points and the brown team would get 1 point for blocking the run or momentum of the pink team. This allows for both teams to get at least 1 point per question. This game will go faster than reg. Trivia and so the game point is set at 30 rather than 20. Also in PTTB game at the end when either pink or brown team is at possible game point they WILL NOT receive a block point.. because they have to earn the winning point by coming in with the first right answer. Game 3 Lag game : When we play this game the asker will announce before he or she ask there question the number of answers they will take for that question. In other words if the askers says I will take answers 3 6 and 7 that means they will take the 3rd. 6th. And 7th. right answers given. We find that this helps those on dial up connection, new to trivia, or just type slow (thats me lol). We know that some have slower dial up than others or maybe there new or as I said they just type slow and they sometimes feel left behind so thats why lag games were created. Heres a hint for these folks with bad lag: it will sometimes help to freshen up your settings by leaving the room and then returning right back. Or by pressing the mute button in bottom left of your screen until you hear no more sound. Also theres what we call a ping code that you can type in the ping code is (ping -t 63.240.0.174) in order to use this ping code heres what you do go to start then go to run then delete what you see in the box and type in the ping code exsacly as you see it without the prenthaciesthes simply hit the ok button and bingo it will automadically ping pal for you until you close it out. Game 4 Name that gospel tune game: This is a game we play is played by someone playing a instrumental song (no words just music) and the team members must type in the name of the song being played. Scoring remains same as power trivia or reg trivia. This game goes quite slow and is therefore only played to 10 so first team to get to 10 wins. Most often we do not use it for a full game. We do it between questions and score same as the game we are playing at that time. Or we do it at the end of the night if 2 teams are tied. For exsample if pink has won 2 games and brown has won 2 games we will use a name that gospel tune song in order to break the tie. At this time we will score it by giving the winning color credit for a whole game in order to break the tie. In other words if I play amazing grace and brown guesses it and comes in first on my screen then the brown team gets not one point but credit for a whole game thus breaking the tie. So be sure to stick around till close because you never know till its over lol. Game 5 Sit out / Red dot game: This game makes it eaiser for those less skilled in the word to be able to get a correct answer also once again easier for those on dial up in lag or just slow typers. We here at BTP feel that these folks also need to feel as though they to are a part of the fun. This game is played by the first two players of opposite team colors with the first right answers sitting out or being dotted for one turn. This allows someone else to get a correct answer and we all know how good it feels to get one right amen. After they sit out 1 turn they may come right back. In other words lets say I ask a question and Susie gets in first for pink team and Karen gets in first for the brown team, then that means Susie and Karen will sit the next question out or be doted. Thus giving other players a chance to get in first. Game 6 Round Robin game: This is a game that all can get involved in all you need is a working mic and a KJV reference. It is played and scored just like the other games. The difference is everyone who wants to is welcome to raise there little hamburger helper paw to ask and score questions. This gives all the players a chance to get involved. We welcome and encourage everyone to give it a few tries (it gets eaiser the more you do it). Besides it sure does give the reg. askers and admins a break as well as giving me a chance to use my oxagen between questions so we can play longer. So give it a try you just might find that you like it. If you need questions go to our need questions page there you will find a page with over 1,000 questions that you are free to print off and use. New questions are added freeklently so keep checking it from time to time. Game 7 First Five game: When we play this game the asker takes the first five correct answers. In other words lets say pink comes in with 3 right answers and brown has 2 right answers thus this would give 3 points to the pink team and 2 points to the brown team. Game 8 Room Slogan game: This game is where anyone on the mic can say the room slogan pharse God is a good God or God is good and the team players respond by typing in Yes he is all the time. This will get you 5 extra points for your teams color and helps to speed up games quickly. In other words if pink comes in first then pink would get 5 extra points added to their teams score. Hint : You may abbreviate by answering All the time in order to get on the board faster. This is not realy concidered a game because we do it through out the evening but it sure is fun so get those fingers ready. |
