| Epilogue: Fire Ugghh, leader of the Ungah tribe, watched as five strange people climbed onto their stone bird and flew into the sky. They must be gods, he decided. Gods of the Sky. He walked slowly to the spot where they had started flying. There were trees knocked over, with a strange something covering some of them. It looked like water, he decided, water that stood up and was colored like some kinds of fruit. He touched the water. Ouch! He let out a howl. This water stung like a bee. He approached it more carefully now, and sees a stick with whatever it was on the top. The end of the stick with the orange stuff seems to be melting away. Ah, he can feel its warmth, like the sun. Maybe this is part of sun that fell out of big blue sky. He brought it toward another stick. The orange jumps onto that one! Wow! Ugghh likes this. It must be a gift from the gods. He notices that the first stick it almost all melted. I must save this for cold time. Then I will be warm. Maybe, he reasoned, food will taste better when warmed up, and not break teeth like when cold. I like this stuff, he says. I think I will call it.... Fire. Yes, fire good name. The End Author?s note: This story takes place about 2000 years in the future. Since the Aborigines of Australia and other civilizations date back to 60,000 years ago, I used that, as it would be better to use a round number like 60 instead of 62. The ship?s name comes from the great mathematician Karl Swartzchild, one of the greatest thinkers in this field.
