All new members must complete an Orientation Session on the first day of attendance. This session is designed to discuss Club Aims and Rules. Other topics that are discussed during this session are training methods and training equipment. It also allows the Training Co-ordinator to assess your dog (over 6mths only) and determine what Class Level you would need to attend. You can also pay memberships during this session if you have not already done so. No dog is permitted to come onto the grounds unless the handler is a current financial member of the Club. |
| "The aim of the Gosnells Obedience Dog Club is to promote and encourage responsible ownership of dogs through education and training. A dog is a friend for life!" |
Puppy Class is designed to make sure that your puppy learns to socialise with other dogs and humans properly. There is many undesirable behaviour problems that are a result of little or no socialising as a puppy. Socialising is important because the puppy learns how to interact with people, other dogs, and his environment. Our puppy class would be an ideal continuation to those puppy classes regularly run by your local Veterinarian. |

Family Pet Dog Training is for dogs six months and over along with those that have been promoted from our Puppy Training Class. Our classes are designed to encourage the training of your dog using positive rewards. Our instructors will actively encourage you to have fun with your dog during the training process, strengthening the relationship that you have with your dog. Problems that may arise over and above general training can be dealt with by an instructor experienced in behavioural training. |

| We have four different class levels for basic obedience which all cater to the needs of the discerning 'pet' owner. Classes 1 & 2 primarily deal with attention and control, whilst introducing the basic obedience exercises. Classes 3 & 4 continue on with the exercises taught in the earlier classes and introduce more advance work all designed to mould your pooch into the model canine companion. |
