We are a non-profit organization in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area. Goshen Cellar Belles (GCB) is a women’s wine tasting club dedicated to the education and promotion of wine. We meet once a month at member homes to learn about and taste the wine of the month. Our meetings are the third Friday of each month. For more information, please contact our President, Jennifer Teske at [email protected]. Membership is open to all women 21 years of age and older.
The theme for 2008 is “Tastes Like Money: Good, Better, Best”. We are blind tasting wines and trying to determine which is the least and most expensive. We are purchasing wines in the following price ranges:
Under $12

$24 to $36.
Here are the wines for 2008:
Jan – Chardonnay
Feb – Pinot Noir

Apr – Tuscan Reds and Spanish Rioja
May – Sauvignon Blanc
June – Merlot
July – Best of Whites
Aug – Best of Reds
Sept – Pinot Grigio

GCB is not for wine snobs. Many of our members are just delving into the world of wine. Most of the wines we try are in the $12 to $30 price range. Although the club has over 50 active members and over 100 members on its email list, each tasting usually has around 24 attendees. There are always visitors trying out the club, so should you decide to attend, you will likely not be the only new person attending. Each Tasting begins with a brief discussion by the GCB Wine Expert about the wine of the month. Attendees are randomly broken up into groups of 6 or less women. Each group tastes and evaluates three to four wines.
GCB was started in January of 2004 and has met every month
since its inception. Goshen Cellar Belles was founded by current President
