Humans

Type one (normal) humans are the most common and privileged of all the races in the Gornian Empire. They constitute roughly 80% of the populace. Type one humans have the most rights and protection under the law in Gorn. Type one humans may also attain any rank in society and are the only race that can be a true noble.

Type 2 humans are too aggressive to be in normal society, they are normally found in the pit or on the front. Type 2 humans may attain a fairly high rank in the military, but in peacetime they are considered freakish and scary. Type 2 humans that live in the city tend to live in the poorest of areas where they can eke out an existence as a thug or somebody’s mook.

Type 3 humans are the most feared of all the human races. They are always under a watchful eye and their numbers are few. Most type 3’s are in the employ of the Dark Lord directly, a few work for the various noble houses. Type 3s’ should never travel alone, most people fear them and a dead type 3 is seldom investigated with any enthusiasm.

1/2 Orcs

these creatures are common, they are tough and cruel; both good qualities in Gorn society.

1/2 Orges

Half Ogres are given a wide birth. Most of these beasts are at the front, and that's where the populace wants them.

1/2 Elves

Half Elves are neither elf nor human, they are ridiculed by both sides.

Dwarves

Dwarves are very small in number in Gorn. They mabey consist of less than 1% of the total population. Dwarves are begrudgingly give some respect for their skills with steel and stone. Dwarves tend to stick together amongst their own races of Dwarf. Dwarves have a rep for being tough and resistant to poison so most people will not mess with them unless it looks like easy picking.

Elves

Elves are very rare in Gorn. The more common species of Elf are ridiculed and shunned for the most part. They tend not to be let into places of business and are constant targets of heckling and attack. Only those Elves that prove that they are not to be messed with will be given any sort of birth. Drow elves are especially hated, they have warred long wit the people of Gorn, and have a nasty rep for torture.

½ lings

½ are usually employed as servants. They are kicked around by most everyone at all times. No one takes them very seriously or pays them much mind.

Bahkaruh

These massive creatures are super rare, they normally reside in the plains to the south of Gorn. A Bahkaruh would be an anomaly in Gorn society.

Mendelinkorian

This ancient race is so rare that most people in Gorn have never even heard of one and if they have they never believed that they really existed. But, due to their freakish nature they would get picked on allot.

Styger

Ahh!! What’s’ this giant bug doing on my street??!! Kill it! Stygers are too monster-like for most people, best be careful to avoid mob violence.

Lizard Men

Not to be trusted, they eat people you know........

Wolfen

Wolfen are pretty fierce looking creatures, they get respect form most and fear from the rest. Their reputation for being totally loyal to their masters makes them a bit of an unusual race.

Tinelian Cat People

These people are respected as sailors but outside the docks they run into the usual problems with being foreigners.

Ghoule

Most people are terrified by these wicked undead. Only the reputation of being hard to kill and ungodly strong keep most people from returning these undead to their graves for good.
