We want to provide an avenue for athletes with the talent and desire to achieve their full potential.

There are individuals for whom 'full potential' means competing with the best in the world.

We must encourage these individuals because they are capable of a level of excellence that can inspire all members of our nation to fulfill their own potential.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help athletes win gold medals at the Olympics and other international competitions.

Vision Statements

We will achieve the above statement by:

1. Providing a training environment that fosters excellence.This environment will include top quality facilities, equipment, coaching and leadership.

2. Developing a long-term plan, which will guide us in our pursuit of gold medals;

3. Coordinating our efforts with the NSO, the PSO and other associated sport organizations.

Training Philosophy

Who can use the facility?

Athletes wishing to train at the GHPPC must first fill out an application via the Internet.

Please visit us at  http://www.geocities.com/gorgecanoekayak/index.html   Based on criteria which includes but is not limited to, athletic ability, past performance, level of commitment and available space, the GHPPC Coach will determine if the athlete is eligible to train at the centre. Athletes arriving at the GHPPC without an invitation will risk being turned away.

Athletes who would like to train on their own ( outside the program ) will not be accepted into the Centre, unless the High Performance Director of the CCA and the GHPPC Coach first gives them the approval to do so.
