One year and over 1500 rds. later and it's time to replace the recoil spring and firing pin spring. Used Wolff 22# spring. The Pro series springs seem to wear out too soon.
The proof is on the paper. Here's three mags. of Speer Lawman 230 gr. FMJ free hand at 15 yds.
True story time: The target to the left was my first time at a big city range - Houston. I had bought the pistol a few months before and was still breaking it in. I hung a couple of targets at 10 yards and began popping holes. The guy next to me was shooting a Ruger and had heard me tell the range officer about it being my first .45 caliber pistol. So the Ruger guy suggests that I'm pulling my shots to the left because I'm flinching. I thank him for the tip (yeah right - you should have seen his target) and we continue firing. A little while later, Mr. Ruger comes over and asks if he can shot my other target since his are all shot up. I tell him sure - But it's got to be head shots only. He gives me this look of disbelief and suggests that I do it. Uh oh, time to put up or shut up. Well, I squeeze off my last 3 rounds to the head and dang it but he was right about me pulling to the left. Goes to show you that a little cockiness and a lot of luck can go a long way.
