| The railway tied Canada together and established the links which guaranteed our future as a nation. Many of Canada's train stations were architectural clones by physical appearance when they were built across the country in the early years of the twentieth century. Unfortunately, many of them have vanished for the sake of progress. This particular station in Sudbury is a typical example of the stations which provided so many people their passage to the world. If these walls could speak, what fantastic tales they could tell. There is too much history in these buildings to chance losing any more. Please do your part to ensure that Canada preserves it's architectural heritage. When I decided to do a series of prints depicting some of Sudbury's landmarks, the C.P.R. station was the first choice because it has the longest history and is most visible. I recall almost being arrested for being on the track yard, trying to get the best perspective. This print has proven to be one of my best sellers and the edition is fast approaching sold-out status. Start your collection of Sudbury heritage prints with this one and don't miss a single new release of other landmarks, to keep your valuable historical collection complete. |
