Oswald the third are still continuing, and despite sacking our old singer, we are still continuing and belive that our new line up is a definate improvment. Luke (ex-singer)is now working with other bands, and that will no-doubt be more satisfying for him.
We will be gigging once agian, after we have practiced our new set, and have adjusted the songs from our old set to our new line up.

Following this Luke Mitchell and Dave Knight left Oswald The Third. Luke joined Redneckpeckerwood. Shortly after new guitarest Stuart left to play heavy metal. The band recruited Adam Bird on drums and Lucy Humpheries on vocals and played one last gig at the #3.02 records festival on december 30th. Following this Lucy left to join dumbself who by now included Luke Mitchell, Adam left. This was then the end for Oswald III. Dominick Allen and Matt Alston former Red27 along with singers Rachel and Charlie and dumbself drummer Barnaby as well as joining arts project Disrepute At The Hands Of My Idol Three acclaimed gigs were performed during the 9 month existance including one with Chris Lowe and Gordon Sweeney of Kuhl Goyim Chien and Disrepute At The Hands Of My Idol but Red27 cresendoed to explosion and ended in a haze of heroin, glitter, noise and sex.

I have sent the following article to various newspapers, and to several internet sites: Oswald the third are currently in the process of
looking for a new singer and a new drummer, after the departure of their original singer, and drummer. The split was due to �Personal and Musical differences. Basically we wanted to do different things.� However the founding members remain, and have swiftly been augmented by a third guitarist, Stuart, who really fills out their, already huge sound and is a very definite improvement. The band will be playing gigs again as soon as they have re-worked their songs,
and found a new drummer. Also they are preparing to record some more material, on various home-recording equipment As they claim that they �like the freedom and control it brings, and it allows us to create a more authentic feel (than a studio would allow).� In addition to this the Band are now associated with the Independent / Underground Label �#3.02 records�. The other two are now forming new bands with different people.
Anyone interested in singing or drumming should ring either Matt (01209-613799) or Lucy (01209-212019). The band has all the equipment they need (including a full drum kit.), and are looking for someone �committed and
keen to do things a little differently. We are not overly concerned with experience.�

Originally lining up in 1998 as Dominick Allen (guitars, synths, experiments, explosions, heroin), Matt Alston (bass, drum programming, LSD), Luke Mitchell (guitar, vocals, synths, coke), Dave Knight (drums, skunk), Anna Renton (percussion, hash), Lucy Humpharys (percussion, heroin). A number of gigs were played in abandoned mines, broken buildings and empty streets....the sound of the aftermath when your over has died and you can see her broken, bleeding body on the floor, taking her in your arms you inject and fall away.

The line up was liquid depending on who was available. Passman (dumbself), Barnaby (dumbself, Red27), and Chris Lowe (Disrepute At The Hands Of My Idol) all played at times with Lucy humpharys and Anna Renton making sporadic appearances.
