| #3.02 Records was first created by Ree Piztonna in 1971 as a tool to release his and other artists of the second renaissance in art and music which took place in the 1970's. The vision was for a record label which would not compromise the ideals of the movement and would realise the need for the music to be widely promoted to help spark the revolution. 30 years on #3.02 is still going strong. It has lived through the death of it's creator and is currently running under the wise instruction of Thom Rousseau, a performance artist from the illustrious movement. It has seen the rise and decline of many bands and collaborations and has always moved with the time. Still in control of the Ree Piztonna Band's work it has also branched out and adopted new talent such as Kuhl Goyim Chien and invested in older artists who have survived the test of time such as Fragmenta Minimus Levo. The label has very much moved into the underground culture in the last 10 years and again the feeling of revolution is bubbling. Coming up to the 30th anniversary of the beginnings of #3.02 a new movement is now sweeping the underground. Pioneers such as Chris Lowe, Gordon Sweeney and Girolamo Georg are banging at the walls and stirring up the underground. The revolution is near. |
