She shook her head,
�I can do it myself daddy.� He was always so demanding and his expectations were full of pressure. Whether it was the way she and her brother were expected to behave or their grades.
If she got more than two B�s on a report card she was put on a limited restriction. She wasn�t allowed phone calls or to go out during the week until her progress report came home and her grades improved. It was never a question of if she and her brother were going to college. The only question was which college would they attend. She went to the University of Miami and her brother went to Duke in North Carolina. He loved basketball and she was sure their extraordinary men�s and women�s basketball programs had something to do with his decision. Their engineering department�s tremendous reputation didn�t hurt either.
They began to walk back towards the waiting room,
