| Chapter 65a She nodded and she wanted to tell Chris she didn't know either. There were plenty of experiences and conversations she and Nick had that she didn't share with her. She didn't want her friend to see her as weak and stupid, "Christina! Stop ok? Kristin is right. She's right. Just let it go." Chris stared at her as she slowly shook her head, "You know, I love Mac and I'll be praying for her but this is all very exhausting. I'm going to go back home. I need to get back to work anyway." She knew Chris wasn't going to take it well, her essentially siding with Kristin, but she didn't think she would be so dramatic as to leave her, "You don't have to leave Chris." She turned and picked up her purse, "Yeah Quinn, I do. I don't have the money to be here indefinitely." With that she was gone. She didn't say goodbye to anyone she just left. She did care about Nick still no matter how much she tried to convince others and even herself that there was nothing but anger in her heart for him. It was just unfair to let Chris keep yelling at Kristin when there was some truth to what she was saying. She turned and gave Kristin a half smile. "I'm sorry Quinn. I don't know why she was so angry with me." Quinn knew and she was grateful, "Because she was defending me. She's my friend." She didn't want Kristin to think she was totally right and she sided with her completely, "There is something there, in my heart, for Nick but it would be a lot easier to control if he didn't act as if he felt the same way. My feelings aren't based on nothing Kristin. It's the looks he gives me sometimes, the things he says, the way he kisses me. But I don't push myself on Nick. He comes to me and the times we have spent together have not always been about Mac." She ran her hands over her eyes and walked out of the room. She had to get away and she had to agree with Chris, it was exhausting. Chapter 66 Reunited Stories |
