After Larry left she picked up Quinn and began to walk with her to the nursery,
"Where are you going? Taking her to bed?" She turned and looked at him,
"Soon, but right now I'm going to change her." Nick jumped up,
"Ok, can I watch?" She smiled,
"I got one better than that. You can change her." He frowned,
"What did she do? I mean did she pee or..." Quinn laughed,
"Or what, ya wimp? She just peed, that's all. Can you handle that Mr. Tough Man?" He rolled his eyes,
"Oh please, I can do it." She placed Mac on the changing table and watched Nick remove her diaper,
"I don't feel right about this. She's a girl, I mean-" Quinn sighed,
"She's your daughter Nick. There's nothing to be embarrassed about it." He nodded and she handed him a baby wipe,
"Ok, wipe her off." He shook his head,
"No Quinn. Absolutely not." She saw the look on his face and didn't bother to argue, she wiped her, sprinkled a little baby powder on her and handed Nick the clean diaper,
"Ok, the part with the sticky tabs go on the bottom." He nodded and picked up her legs,
"Nick, she's not made of clay her legs don't bend that far!" He nodded and she could tell she made him even more nervous,
"Sorry, ok like this?" She nodded and patted his back,
"Yep, doing great." When Nick walked out of the room she adjusted the diaper, she couldn't bare for her daughter to look that jacked up. She made her way into the living room and sat down next to Nick. Before she was completely comfortable he stood up,
"I'm gonna take a shower." She nodded and pointed,
"Bathroom is across from her room. The extra towels and washcloths are in the hall closet." She sat around with Mac, waiting for Nick to take his shower so she could take hers. This would be one of the few times she didn't have to plan her shower around Mac's sleeping schedule.
When Quinn walked out of the master bathroom and into her bedroom Nick and Mac were lying in her bed. Actually Mac was lying on top of Nick, Nick's bare chest to be exact. She smiled,
"What are you doing?" He smiled shyly,
"I read somewhere fathers can bond with the baby like this." He placed Mac on the bed and got up to put his shirt back on,
"You don't have to get dressed on my account." He looked down,
"I'm not in the best shape." She frowned,
"Nick, please, you look fine." He shrugged as she sat on the bed,
"Besides, a man isn't supposed to be perfect." He rolled his eyes,
"Tell Howie and Kevin that." It was Quinn's turn to roll her eyes,
"Ugh please." Nick sat back down on the bed and played with Mac's feet. Quinn laughed,
"I don't like men who groom more than me, there's just something about it that bothers me." Nick watched her lay on her back and he stared at her. She looked over at him,
"What?" He shrugged as he lay back on the bed,
"I always wondered why you liked me." She rolled on her side so she was facing him,
"What do you mean?" He shrugged,
"I mean, watching you and Kevin argue and debate stuff. You couldn't do that with me." She smiled,
"I'm sure I could. And for the record, it's not like Kevin is some genius. I've seen many interviews of you guys. Just because Kevin doesn't say 'you know' alot and get caught up in his words doesn't mean he's Einstein." He smiled and they turned their attention to the television.
"He looked over and saw her yawn,
"I better let you get to bed. Got a blanket, so I can crash on the couch?" She shook her head,
"Nick, you can sleep in here if you want." He looks at her for a moment and she nods her head,
"Really, it's ok." He nods and slides in the bed,
"Thanks." Mac was lying on her back, wide awake,
"I know you're here for Mac but can I..." She shook her head,
"Never mind." Nick looked over at her,
"What? Tell me." Quinn closed her eyes,
"Will you hold me until I fall asleep?" He nodded,
"Ok." She shifted and Mac was now on the outside,
"She's not going to fall is she?" She shook her head,
"No, she's fine. She's next to me." She snuggled her back next to Nick's chest and sighed when his arm wrapped around her.
