Chapter 35

We were close enough to see every facial expression and the sweat dripping off their bodies, we gave our tickets to two mothers and their daughters who were trying to get tickets outside the arena at the last minute.  Christina leaned over while we were waiting for the guys to return to the stage,
"This is great."  David nodded,
"Yeah, these seats are great and if Nick does one more pelvic thrust..."  I laugh and playfully punch him on the shoulder as I look around,
"I can't believe these chicks come to a concert with heels on."  Elliott wrapped his arm around me,
"You don't have to dress up you already have a Backstreet Boy in your bed."  I roll my eyes and look over to see Tori,
"Hey there's Tori, Nick's girl."  Christina almost knocks me down,
"Where? Where?"  She was sitting next to Howie's sister and brother.  I point her out to them and they all check her out and nod,
"I thought she wasn't here."  I shrug,
"I guess she got off in enough time to make it for the concert."  The guys were returned to the stage and my attention returned to them, but mostly it was on Nick.

Howie invited us, mostly Christina, to his club for the afterparty.  Once we were inside we hit the bar,
"So, who is supposed to be here?"  She leans into me as she looks around,
"Howie...and he said some of the dancers and the guys will be here.  You and Nick didn't plan anything?"  I shake my head, this is so out of control.  Everyone thinks more is going on between Nick and me including me sometimes.  When you think about it nothing is going on, just hanging out and if I don't keep in touch we probably wouldn't continue to talk.  I'm not into this and I don't want to be here,
"Order me something to drink."  Elliott looks at me,
"What do you want?"  I shrug and look at the numerous bottles of alcohol behind the bar,
"I dunno, you decide."  He rolls his eyes at me,
"See, that's exactly why you shouldn't drink.  You can't tell one drink from the other."  I lean over the bar and tell the bartender to give me a Jim Beam and Coke, something I heard on TV and Elliott leaned in,
"Ok, ok."  I hear him say something about a red wine but I don't pay attention as I scan the crowd.  I was going to have a good time if it killed me.

Elliott and David were practically carrying me as we made it through the lobby of the hotel.  I have never been drunk a day in my life and it's definitely weird,
"Where are we going?"  Christina, who was walking ahead of us called out over her shoulder,
"To bed."  I shook my head as we waited at the elevator,
"No, I don't want to.  I want Nick."  I lay my head on Elliott's shoulder,
"Take me to Nick."  He shakes his head and laughs,
"Oh hell no, not in your condition."  The elevator stopped and we were all face to face with who else but Nick,
"Hey,  what's up?"  Our eyes connect and he begins to smile,
"Are you drunk?"  He walks into the elevator and catches me just as I collapse into his arms,
"Yes."  He laughs and rubs my back,
"I've never seen you drunk before."  I can hear Chris,
"Because she's NEVER been drunk before."  I look up at him as we get out of the elevator on our floor,
"Where were you going?"  He smiles as he looks down at me,
"Back to my room."  I place my hand on his face and gently rub his cheek,
"You missed the elevator."  I look over at the closed elevator doors,
"That's ok I can wait for it to come back."
"Where were you?"  He smiles and shakes his head,
"You're kind of nosey...I was in our tour manager's room.  I had to get something from him."  Elliott takes a hold of my arm,
"Ok missy let's get you to bed."  He pulls at me but I'm attached to Nick and definitely not wanting to let go,
"I'll take her, where's your key?"  I never open my mouth but we do start moving,
"I don't have a key."
"It's ok, I got it."  I look over at Chris and she smiles,
"I need to get something from David, I'll be there in a minute."
