Chapter 29

The tour made it's way to Orlando and it became a road trip since the concert was on a Saturday night.  Chris was flying in from Charlotte Friday night and Elliott, his Nick loving friend David and I were driving in Friday night.  Elliott and David picked me up around six that evening and we were on our way,
"So, Quinn are you SURE Nick isn't..."  I smile and look out the window,
"I don't know but I've never heard anything about it.  I would be surprised, I don't think he is."  He leaned over the seat and I look back at him,
"Why would you be so surprised?"  I turn down the radio and look at him and Elliott,
"Backstreet fans know everything about the Backstreet Boys.  Family names, pets' names, ex-girlfriends' names, home addresses...everything.  It's hard to believe that a guy could poke a Backstreet Boy in the ass and NO one knows."  David smiles,
"You're straight so I can see you thinking that."  I unbuckle my seat belt and look at him,
"What do you mean?"  Elliott and David glance at each other and Elliott shrugged, seemingly giving David the go ahead to explain,
"Look, gay or bisexual men, who aren't out of the closet are VERY careful, especially when they are high profile.  I mean, who cares if a woman spills the beans, in fact it helps with the facade, it helps to show the world they're straight.  I have had encounters with men who everyone thinks are straight.  A couple of people in the entertainment business and big time multi-millionaire professionals.  They don't pick someone up in a bar, they get introduced to someone by someone they trust."  I look at Elliott and he simply nods,
"So who have you..."  He smiles and leans back,
"Now if I told you I wouldn't be one of those trustworthy discrete people now would I?"  I smile and nod,
"True."  I sit back and an image of Nick with another man flashes through my head and I physically shake my head to get rid of it.  No way, there is no way he's like that I think as I turn the radio back up and watch the trees go flying by as we head north.

We check in and I introduce Christina, Elliott and David then we make our way to the bar.  We're staying in the same hotel as the guys and I look over just in time to see Eric coming our way.  I stand up and he spins me around as he hugs me,
"Why didn't you call me when you got here?"  I shrug and shift the guilt by introducing him to my friends.  We were sitting there talking away when we heard a few stifled screams and commotion,
"There's Nick."  We all look in the lobby and Nick was flanked by his security, who fit the job of looking big and scary.  Eric stood up,
"I'll be back."  We watch him walk over to Nick, then Nick looked into the bar and nodded at Eric saying a few things before going back to signing autographs and giving hugs.  He came back and sat back down next to me,
"What did you say to him?"  I looked over and he finished off my drink,
"I figured he would want to see you so I told him you were here.  He said to bring you guys up to his room later."  He looked around at us,
"If you aren't doing anything.  You guys have plans?"  David was the first to speak up,
"No."
