| Chapter 24 Ok, I hate when people tell me how to drive from the passenger seat so I keep my mouth shut but she is going to kill us. I look to the right and see a sign for the mall, "Ok, you need to get in the right lane." Without even looking, or putting on a signal, she swerved over. I look over at her and she smiles, "I love driving." I smile, well, I don't like dying I thought. Of course we use valet, I'm so embarrassed by it but she seems to love it. We head into the mall and she goes to the directory, "Ok, I need to find Victoria's Secret. I want to surprise Nick tonight." She winks at me before turning back to the directory. Oh yeah, I'm going to love this, helping her pick out lingerie for Nick, joy. We walked into the little boutique and she walked directly to some contraption that looked as if it required a manual for first time users, "Ooh, this one comes with a garter." She looked over and gasped, "Ah, but this one is see through. Nick would love that." She looks over at me, with both in her hands, "What do you think? Which one do you think he would like more?" I shook my head, "I don't really know Nick all that well." She nodded, "Yeah, but you know, guys are pretty much all the same." Something else caught her eyes and she began to squeal, "So many things, I'm just gonna have to try them all on." I smile, I'm going to have to kill her. The next day I was surprised to see Tori was no where to be seen. Nick walked over to me when they broke for lunch a little sooner than the rest of the dancers, "Come on, you and me, lunch." I looked over at the dancers, "I usually eat with Eric-" He shook his head, "He's got something to do so I'm gonna keep you busy if thats ok?" I shrug, "Ok." We head to the car and I can't help but ask, "So, where is Tori?" He kept looking ahead, "She slept in, a little too much alcohol last night." He smiled as he shook his head, recounting his escapade I can only guess, "Ah so the little red number was a hit last night then." He looked over at me as he opened the door for me. What is this? Chivalry? I'm shocked, "How did you know about that?" I smile, "Get in, I'm hungry." I sat down and he closed the door, rushing over to the other side not hesitating to question me as soon as he sat down behind the wheel, "So, how did you know?" I looked over at him, "I helped pick out the perfect outfit for her little Nicky." His face went crimson and I could only smile at his embarrassment, "Oh." We were sitting in the diner when he looked over at me, "So, your boyfriend doesn't mind you coming out here to visit Eric?" I frowned, "What boyfriend?" He looked over at me and stopped chewing, "The dude that answered your phone when you were in the bathtub." I smile and shake my head, "That's not my boyfriend. I don't have one." He frowned and looked at me suspiciously, "But he was in the bathroom with you. What guy is around a girl when she's in the bathroom and isn't dating her...or at least trying." I sat back and crossed my arms, looking at him challengingly, "The gay kind." He laughed and rolled his eyes, "Oh, so you and Eric?" I picked up my glass of water and looked at it as I answered, "Are just friends." He shook his head and faintly replied, "I can't believe you don't have a man." Just as I was about to ask what that meant our food came and we spent the rest of the time talking about the lastest celebrity dish. Home Mixed Feelings Chapter 25 |
