| Chapter 11 I stood outside by my luggage and waited for Christina. Time was totally relative to her so I didn't expect her to be on time waiting with a sign with my name on it. She was driving straight from South Carolina, it was only a two-hour drive for her and she left earlier this morning. As I was looking around I noticed she was smiling and walking quickly towards me. We were typical girls and ran into each others arms squealing, I am so glad to see you. I held on tight to her, Im glad to see you too girl. She grabbed my purse as I pulled my suitcase along walking next to her, So, how long have you had me waiting while you searched for a good parking spot? She laughed and covered her face, You know me so well, only ten minutes. I laughed as I followed her to the car and put my suitcase in the trunk. We settled in the car and she looked over at me, So, do you know how to get to the hotel? I rolled my eyes, The Carolinas is your territory but I know you so of course I printed out a map; its only about three or four miles from the airport. She turned on the radio and smiled at me, You love me. I rolled my eyes and looked out the window hoping this would be a stress free vacation. We checked into the hotel and my mouth was open from the time we walked through the door until the time we got to our room, Ok, this place is great. We giggled as we walked around the room, Ok, we have a fucking balcony. She ran over and we stood outside and looked at each other, This is something you share with a boyfriend. I stuck out my lip, I dont do? You dont love me? She patted me on the back, I love you but you dont do it for me. I stuck out my tongue and she laughed, The mall, we need to find a mall, I want to go shopping. We went down to the front desk and got directions for the mall. We were in the car and I turned and looked at her, So, did I mention Nick gave me his phone number and told me to call when I got into town? I stifled my giggle as I turned the radio up full blast and watched her scream and look back and forth between the road and me, Are you fucking crazy? Dont tell me that now while Im driving. I could have killed us and I why didnt you tell me this before? I watch her turn the radio down, He called me last night and- He called you last night and you didnt tell me this why? I struggled to catch my breath as I laughed at her, It was late when we got off the phone. He called to give me Erics phone number; you know the dancer on their tour. Then we just kept talking about football and movies and we ended up watching a movie together over the phone. She shook her head and smiled, Awww, thats so sweet. You watched a movie over the phone together? That means something you know? I looked over at her confused, What? She sighed and rolled her eyes, That was practically a date Quinn. I rolled my eyes and reclined back in the seat, Ok, whatever Chris. It was nothing. She stopped at the light and I could feel her staring at me, as my eyes remained closed, Nothing? He gave you his number. Why did he give you his number? I shrugged but I couldnt wipe the huge grin off my face, I dont know but Im happy right now so I dont want to think too much. We made it back to the hotel around five after deciding to site see, well get lost, around the city. I pulled out my cell phone and decided to give Nick a call, it couldnt hurt. I was a little disappointed when I got his voice mail but I had no clue what to say so I figured it was better anyway. I left my hotel and room number and left my cell phone number just in case we werent around the room. We were sitting around watching TV trying to decide what to do that night when the phone rang and Christina and I looked at each other as my stomach dropped to my knees.
