Chapter 2
Tommy and Nick walked off the plane and through the airport looking for the car rental desk. Nick turned to Tommy, "Dude, are you sure it's this way? I don't see no car rental places." Tommy nodded, "We've been following the signs." Nick sighed as they kept walking, "We've been walking for a long time." Tommy nodded, "It's a big airport man, it's LAX." Nick frowned and readjusted his grip on his suitcase just as Tommy tapped him on the arm and pointed, "There, right up ahead. There it is." Nick followed Tommy, "It's about time." He was used to people doing for him while he sat back and waited, but that was over now, he couldn't do that to his friends. Although sometimes they did do for him in that way and he nor his friends sometimes realized it. It was just his way of life, people adjusting and living to his schedule. They arrived at the counter and Nick leaned against the counter as Tommy spoke with the deskclerk, "We have a reservation for a Mustang convertible under the name Nick Carter." The recognition of his name regsitered with the young girl as she looked at Tommy then over at Nick, "Ok, one moment." He had to give it to her, she didn't let on too much, but it is LA, if you were star struck every time you were around a celebrity you probably wouldn't be able to function. She smiled and looked over at Nick, "ID please." He smiled, half out of amusement and half out of disbelief, "You don't know who I am?" She smiled, "Yes, but it's procedure." He nodded, "Yeah, but you know who I am, it's not like Mission Impossible 2 and I have some Nick Carter mask on. Would you ask your mom for her ID?" She smiled and shook her head, "Probably not but now I really want to see it since you don't want to show it." He laughed as he pulled out his wallet, "It's not that I don't want to show it, I just trying to make a point." She nodded as she took his driver's license and handed him three sheets of paper, "I need you to sign by the X on all three sheets for me please." He did as instructed and nodded as she handed him a brochure and the receipt, "Ok, they are pulling the car up front now, enjoy your stay in Los Angeles." Nick nodded, "We will." They stood outside and the bright LA sun hit them both, "Ok, first stop the mall so I can buy some sunglasses, it's bright as hell." Tommy nodded, "You ain't lying." He pulled out his cell phone and called Sydney, only to get her voice mail. He hated doing it because he always felt stupid but he left a message letting her know that he was in LA and to give him a call.
They were sitting in the food court when a couple of girls came up to them, "Hi Nick." He smiled, "Hi." They were cute, typical LA types, blondes, cute figures and fake boobs. They were a dime a dozen in this city. With his cup in his hand he motioned towards Tommy, "That's my friend, Tommy." They smiled and waved at him and he returned the pleasantries, "Hi girls." Nick decided why not, he wasn't doing anything else, "Have a seat." "So, what's your names?" Nick asked as he watched them make themselves comfortable. The blonde with the long hair answered first, "My name is Nicole." He nodded, then looked at the other, her hair full of streaks and just at her shoulders, "Jenny." They sat around talking about Nick's plans while he was in LA and how much they enjoyed the group and couldn't wait for the year to be over. Well, I can't wait for it to be over either Nick thought.
The four of them were hanging out in the hotel suite that night when Nick grabbed Nicole's hand, "Come here." She stood up and turned her head to Jenny, "I'll be back." Nick smiled, more like on your back as he pulled her into the bedroom, he was so glad the hotel messed up his reservation. They were so sorry that they gave him a suite at the cost of a regular room, "So, how long are you going to be in LA?" He shook his head, "I don't know." She nodded as he closed in on her and took her face in his hands, "Can I kiss you?" She nodded and closed her eyes as he leaned down. He back her up until they were lying on the bed and his hands began to roam. When she didn't hesitate he kept going and before he knew it his hand was inside her pants. He opened his eyes when she moved her mouth slightly so she could speak, "I want you." Those were his three favorite words, forget I love you he thought as they began to get rid of their clothes. He didn't bother with the condom, she looked like a cool girl, he just slid inside her and buried his face in her neck as he gripped the pillow. She ran her hands up and down his back moaning in his ear, "Nick, Nick." Her panting was a turn on and it made him move faster. He lifted her leg and wrapped it around his waist and she buried her nails in his skin, "Ouch, your nails baby." She whimpered, "Sorry." Her hands moved up to his hair and she tugged on it gently as he sucked on her ear, "You feel good baby." She groaned, "So do you." They moved together and Nick looked up at her, "I'm ready ok?" She nodded and he pulled out and covered her stomach with his release. After a moment, he jumped up and grabbed a towel and wiped her stomach. He climbed back in bed with her and they covered themselves with the blanket, their eyes closed as they were wrapped their arms around each other, "I should get up, my friend." He groaned and shook his head, "She'll be fine, don't worry, just lay here with me."
There was a knock on the door and Nick groaned and rolled over as Nicole covered herslef with a sheet and went to the door. Tommy was standing there, "Hey, I need to give Nick his phone." She nodded her head and suddenly her eyes were wide, "How long have we been in here?" Tommy shruged, "Just a little over an hour." She nodded and her head and stood there, "He needs to take this in private. It'll be just a minute." She nodded and Tommy watched as she closed the door and shook Nick, "Hey man, wake up." Nick covered his face with his arm, "No." Tommy shook him again, "Hey, its your girl, Sydney." Nick sat straight up in the bed and ran his hand over his face, "Hello?" He looked over to see what time it was and frowned when he saw the clock read ten-thirty, "Hey you, I was in pre-game meetings and stuff. I'm finished now and I'm about fifteen from your hotel, is it ok if stop by and see you?" Nick really wanted to see her, it had been so long. He cleared his throat, "Yeah, come on over. I'll see you." He hung up and looked at Tommy, "We need to get rid of those girls, like now."
