Chapter 96

The phone rang and I knew exactly what it was.  It my wakeup call, my six thirty in the morning too early to do anything I wish I could go back to sleep, wakeup call.  I picked up the phone and didn't bother to put it to my ear before I placed it back in the receiver.  My arm was underneath Sarah's head, I can't feel it but I know it's there.  I tried desperately to not interrupt her sleep as I attempted to reclaim my numb limb.  She rolled onto her side and placed her hand on my chest,
"No, don't move."  She draped her leg over my legs and effectively held me captive.
"I have to sweetheart."  She groaned like I used to do when I didn't want to go to school.  Of course there were numerous reasons why I didn't want to go, not wanting to wake up was the least of my problems.  Between not keeping up in the classroom and getting my ass kicked on a weekly basis school just wasn't my thing,
"No you don't."  She looked at me with one eye open and I brushed her hair out of her face,
"What time is it?"  I smiled at her and wondered how she could look so cute so early in the morning.  Her eyes weren't puffy, nothing in the corners of her eyes and no dried up drool at the corners of her mouth.
"It's six thirty."  She groaned,
"What are you doing up so early?"  Sometimes I wondered that too.  We already sold enough tickets to have the damn concert so why were we doing a radio show?  Easy, it wasn't for the fans; they were going to be there regardless of an interview, it was for the radio station.  It was for the next time we were in their city, it was all about the next time and keeping ourselves on good terms.  We kiss their ass and they kiss ours.  It was the way of the entertainment industry and it was never going to change.
"We have to be at the radio station at eight."  She pouted just a little.  Not too much that it was meant to be taken serious but enough to be cute and amusing,
"I thought we were going to hang out.  What time will you be back?"  Her finger circled my nipple and at that moment blowing off the radio station, even the fans that won the chance to be in the studio with us, crossed my mind.
"I don't know. I'm sure it ends at ten."  She sat up and in all her naked glory, straddled me and tossed her hair to one side,
"The car is picking me up at noon."  My eyes closed as her hands ran up and down my chest while I tried to figure out how I was going to spend more time with her.
"We should get together again...soon."  I opened my eyes at her suggestion,
"Definitely. I have two months off starting in a couple of weeks."  It hit me out of the blue.  I hadn't thought about it until now.
"We're going to be in Vegas you should just stay and hang out with me for the rest of the week."  Vegas was a great city.  I've always had fun when I was there but Sin City with Sarah, I think I would definitely have the best time ever.
"I wish I could but I put foundation business on hold for a day to come out here.  As soon as I get home tomorrow that's what I'll be doing for the next week."  Well there goes that plan.
"Why don't I come with you?"  Sarah come to the radio station with me?  There's an idea, not necessarily a good one but an idea nonetheless.  Then again, what would be the problem with her tagging along?  It's not like she's going to be on stage with me, she was just going to a radio station.  There wouldn't be that many fans there, maybe twenty or so.  It was a Monday morning, people had to go to work and there was school.  Besides, she wasn't going to have a flashing arrow over her head that said I'm sleeping with Nick.
"Yeah, that's a good idea."  She leaned down and kissed me and I could feel her reposition herself until finally I felt myself inside of her.

I haven't told anyone yet and I pray they don't treat me like some child in front of her and lecture me that my friends, of the female persuasion, are not allowed on publicity events.  I stepped out of the shower and walked out of the bathroom with the towel wrapped around my waist, still dripping water.  When I saw her standing there doing her hair I just knew she was about as perfect a fit for someone like me as there could be. She smiled at me through the mirror then turned to me,
"You're going to catch a cold."  I sat on the bed and watched as she continued to get ready.  She was wearing a pair of jeans, tight hip huggers but still jeans, a white button down shirt and a pair of black shoes.  She was even wearing a pair of glasses,
"You wear glasses?"  She nodded her head and turned to me, brush in her hand,
"Yeah, I usually wear my contacts but it's just so early."  She looked so amazing.  She was one of those people who should wear glasses whether she needed them or not.  She did something crazy with her hair and before long it was in a bun.  She walked over to me and kissed me quickly on the lips.  Her makeup, I'm not even sure of she was wearing any.  I stood up and for the first time and noticed there were clothes on the bed,
"Thanks."  I said as I pointed at them.  She shrugged at sat down on the bed,
"Is it ok?  I wasn't sure what you wanted to wear."  She laid out a pair of blue jeans and a white Calvin Klein T-shirt,
"It's perfect."  I went into my luggage and pulled out a pair of black boxer briefs and a pair of socks,
"I didn't want to go through your underwear."  she giggled.  I smiled as I slipped on my underwear and socks,
"Well, thank you.  I do enjoy my privacy."  I slid on my jeans and frowned,
"Did you iron these?"  She nodded,
"Yeah, they were wrinkled."  I never iron my jeans.  I just grab them out of my bag and put them on.  Eventually, the wrinkles will smooth out.  The only times my clothes ever get ironed is if our stylists take care of it before an appearance.  I kissed her on the cheek,
"Thanks."  I sat down on the bed and put on my shoes, all white, so new and bright they make my feet look even bigger than they are.
"Ready to go?"  She just didn't know how my world worked.  When I wasn't on tour I could come and go as I pleased but when we were on the radar screen it was something totally different and I might as well be the President's kid,
"My bodyguard will come get us when it's time."  She frowned just slightly and laughed,
"That superstar thing.  It's amazing."

Daniel is none too pleased about Sarah tagging along.  At first he thought she was some stray I picked up along the way.  I assured him she would play the role of entourage member and not lover.  Now, I've been known to pick up girls like any red-blooded man but I would never bring her along on an official group event.  Everyone seems surprised by her presence and Im surprised that they are surprised.  That means Howie didnt say anything.  As we ride in the van I occasionally catch Brian sneaking a look at her.  This was the first time he and Kevin actually got to me her.  AJ and Howie first met her when I did. Howie, always aiming to impress, made it obvious that he knows Sarah and that the two of them are on pretty good terms.  He made small talk with her, asking her about the foundation and the gala all while I looked out the window at the scenery.  I might as well enjoy my peace while I can because I know I am going to get the third degree when she leaves.
