Chapter 130

I walked through the Mandalay Bay and Casino lobby and headed into the elevator.  It was time for my date with Jill and Im nervous.  I dont really go on dates.  I just hook up with people.  Hell, as much as I like Sarah, she and I havent gone on a date yet.
You are killing the flowers.  I looked down and sure enough. Larry was right.
I cant help it.  Im nervous.  Larry scoffed at him,
What are you nervous about?  I know everyone thinks Im this amazing ladies man.  The fans, the media, my brothereveryone thinks I get a lot of ass.  Sure, I get laid on a regular but not by the likes of someone like Jill.
The date.  Do you remember what she looked like?
I thought this was for some charity thing.  Is it a real date or are you getting nervous over nothing?  I spent so much time worried about how beautiful she was I forgot to remember she didnt expect anything out of me.
Youre right.  Theres probably some photographer who will be there and the date is just some photo op for the gala.  I could feel the sweat begin to dry up.
I looked down at the white roses Colleen suggested and began to arrange them so they appeared decent, no thanks to my crazed stranglehold on them.
The door opened and Larry led the way down the hall and towards Jill.
Here we go. He knocked and then stepped away from the door,
Ill be out here when youre ready to go.
Im just here to pick her up and then were off.  Larry shook his head and rolled his eyes,
What?
I dont think shes going to be sitting on the couch tapping her foot nervously waiting for you to knock on the door.  Before I could say anything, not that I knew what to say, the door opened and Jill was standing there in a silky red robe.  I instantly glanced at Larry and he didnt even bother to have the look of satisfaction.
Hi, Nick.  Its good to see you again.  Come in, Im running late as usual.  She looked over at Larry,
Hes going to wait outside.  I entered the room and I couldnt help but notice that sounded very boss like of me.  Which, to be honest, is not how I ever wanted to sound.
Pour yourself a glass of champagne and one for me while youre at it.  Im going to slip into my dress and well be out of here.  I walked over to the bar and found two flutes sitting near a bottle of champagne on ice.  Not too long ago they would have been plain glasses but I heard Sarah call them that when she was in my hotel room in Denver.
You look great.  She called out,
Im not even dressed yet.  Geez, I feel like an idiot,
Even without your clothes on.  Damn it, you have got to be kidding me.  She peaked out of the bathroom with a smile on her face that seemed to say she knew she had me,
Well, you should reserve that compliment for when you do see me without my clothes.  And with that she went back into the bathroom.
Wait, was she flirting with me?  If that wasnt a cause for nervousness I dont know what was.
She came out of the room and had on a pretty pink dress.  It revealed a lot of skin on the chest area.  But for her it looked great because she didnt have overly huge breasts so it looked sexy instead of trashy.
I said it before but Ill say it again, you look great.  She smiled as she walked over and took one of the glasses out of my hand,
Thank you.  She looked at me as she took her first sip.  She walked away and disappeared into the closet,
So what do you have planned for us tonight? she called out.
There is a restaurant called the Marrakech.  I thought wed have dinner there.  She reappeared looking taller than before with her high heels on, And there is a new revue I heard about I thought we could see afterwards.  He hoped that would be ok with her, Does that work for you?  Or we could do something else.
Sounds perfect to me. I havent had the pleasure of either so I cant wait.  I thought she was ready but that would have been too much.  She went over to the mirror and put on a pair of earrings.  Girls, they take care of everything to the smallest detail.  She was putting on earrings even though her hair was down and over her ears.
She checked her makeup, reapplied her lipstick and turned to me,
Ok, I think Im done.  She grabbed her purse and placed her room key inside then stood before me,
Im all yours.
Her hair was driving me crazy.  Red hair was so hot.  It had to be the right shade of red though.  Although I had been seen with blondes, redheads really did something to me.  Not that strawberry red little girl red; I mean the fiery hot, deep passionate sexy woman red.
Dont tell me you dont like the hair.
I shook my head immediately,
Oh no, I love it.  Trust me.  It wasnt straight like it was at the gala, it had big loose curls.
Ok, well lead the way.  We left the room and Larry followed us down the hall but not before giving me a look of approval.

The restaurant was different from anything Ive ever been too in my life.  They sat on the floor but there was another room where you could sit at a table and I decided that would be better for Jill.
So, what do you suggest?  I shook my head and smiled,
This is new for me too.  For a moment there was this sinking feeling in my stomach that this was going to be a night full of uncomfortable silence.
How has Vegas been for you so far?
We did the concert.  It went well, same old thing.  Ive been out a bit.  Its been cool.  Brehans here.  She smiled,
That Brehan, shes a cool girl.  I had to agree, when there wasnt a full moon and the tides were just right Brehan could be pretty cool.  Other than that she was a handful to say the least.
Is she still here?
Yeah, shes still here.  You want me to call her?  We can hang out later tonight.  She shook her head,
No, not tonight.  Tonight is date night.  Was she really serious about this date?  She was probably just being nice about the whole thing.

We were back in her hotel room after the show.  She had changed back into her silk robe and was sitting next to me with her feet tucked underneath her.  Her arm was propped up on the back of the couch with her hand resting in her head,
So, what all comes with this date?  Why do I have to get so nervous?
What do you mean?  She leaned over and removed my glasses from my face and tossed them on the coffee table.  I knew this was more than likely happening; why else would she tell me to send Larry home.
I mean, Im not going to get a kiss?  As she leaned towards me and got even stiffer than I already was.  But, she didnt just lean she pushed me down and maneuvered me until I was on my back.  She nibbled and pecked at my lips.
Sarah.  She frowned slightly at me,
What about Sarah?  I dont know if I started talking about her to remind me maybe I should be loyal or what,
She helped me plan the date.  Maybe if I said her name it would remind her to be loyal to her friend since I couldnt.  But damn, why did I want this to stop? Sarah and I arent an issue.
Wow, thats surprising since Sarah hates me.  What?  Since when?  Sarah helped me with the date.  No, wait.  Actually, she didnt.  I didnt tell her why I wanted the nice restaurant and I didnt tell her who I was taking.  Shit, if she found out and she found out Im having sex with Jill shes going to be pissed.
Dont worry, this is our little secret.  Somehow, I cant believe that.  No one, particularly women, do things for the moral victory.  When they do something that will hurt their enemies, they want them to know about it.  It was only a matter of time before Sarah found out.  The only question was when was Jill going to drop the bomb.
