Chapter 9

She sat at work Monday morning with the name of three movers. She just needed them to move her things out of the storage facility and into her new apartment.  She found a mover and gave them her credit card information over the phone; they would pick up her things that Friday morning, she would meet them at the storage facility.  Then she called the apartment complex she decided on; she let them know she would be over with the deposit that evening after work.  She pulled out the list that came with the brochure and called the electric company and put it in her name, the telephone company and the cable company. She was so excited, once she had everything set up, she told her boss she needed Friday off. They knew she was living with her boyfriend but none of her co-workers were Backstreet Boys fans so they had no clue of the lifestyle she had been living.

On the way over to the apartment she stopped at the store and started shopping.  She bought household items and food for the cabinets; she would buy the food that needed to be refrigerated on Friday after the movers had moved everything in the apartment.  She was excited as she carried the bags inside.  Her apartment had the lake view and she decided she wanted to live on the second floor.  This was going to be nice, she thought.

On her way home, back to Nicks house, she had to remember that it was no longer her home, she stopped by Subway; she didnt feel like cooking. She was thinking of how she needed to have her address changed; shed go to the post office tomorrow during lunch and get a form.  She drove up to see Nick was parked in the driveway. Damn, she thought, as her stomach dropped, when was she ever going to get over this sick feeling at the mention of his name or the sight of him?  She slowly got out of the car and walked inside.  She placed her things on the coffee table and walked around.  She didnt see him and went upstairs.  She walked into their bedroom and looked around, she saw movement in the closet and looked over to see him looking at the pictures she had ripped.  She had totally forgotten to clean those up and didnt know what to say as she looked down.  He stood up and shoved his hands in his pockets,
I just came over to uh-
This is your house, you dont need to explain anything to me.  He nodded his head and followed her out of the closet,
Guess youre over me.  His attempt at humor only made them both more uncomfortable.
I was just upset, I didnt- She had no words, what was she going to say?  He smiled slightly,
When did you do that?  After you told Craig I should fuck for my hospital visit?  She cringed,
No, before that but after you left that day.  He nodded,
I miss you.  He was so quiet she barely heard him.  She didnt know what to say, one wrong move on her part and she would be on her back.
Did you hear me?  She nodded and decided now was a good time to pick up those ripped pictures off the floor. She walked past him and got down on her hands and knees and starting picking up the pictures.  She could hear him come in the closet and walk near her.  He leaned down and placed his hands on her butt and began to rub up until he reached her back then moved around to massage her breasts.  She bit her lip, she knew she shouldnt do this; she had a feeling this break up was harder for her than him but he always made her feel so good.  She sat up on her knees and leaned back on him as he continued to massage her breasts and kiss on her neck.  He reached down unzipped her pants and slid his hand inside her underwear.  She took a deep breath as he began to rub her and her head fell back and rest on his shoulder.  He whispered in her ear,
You miss me?  Why was he doing this?  Did she miss him?  What did he want, an ego boost?  Of course she missed him, she wasnt going to say it though.  He continued to rub her and ask her and she continued to moan and try and avoid his question.  His cell phone startled her and he stopped to answer it.  Amazing, if she tried to answer the phone in a moment of passion he wouldnt let her, but it was all about Nick anyway. When he wanted, where he wanted and definitely how he wanted it.  He hung up the phone,
I have to go.  He stood up and pulled her up and into his arms,
So?
So what?  she asked.  He leaned down and kissed her; her mouth opened and his tongue entered her mouth.  She moaned, he felt so good; she definitely missed the feel of his mouth on hers.  He pulled back and smiled as her eyes remained closed,
So do you miss me?  She breathed,
Yes. She opened her eyes to see him smiling at her before he removed himself from her arms and winked,
I got to go.  With that he walked out and didnt look back.  She stood there and shook her head, once again, Im the fool, she thought.
