Chapter 25 contd

The very next morning she called and had her cell phone number changed.  The only people that had it for the first three months were Nick, her mom and her sister.  Some of her friends were a bit offended, they felt Shayna should know they wouldnt betray her but she did have a few understanding ones.  She didnt even put her phone number on school forms, she used her moms phone number.  She was so paranoid that she bought a post office box and gave that to the school.  After a while her behavior changed and she felt it was all an overkill.  She gave her phone number to her close friends, even Nicks home phone and she got rid of the post office box.  Never, not once, did she have a problem and she felt like an idiot for all the precautions she took.
She shook her head attempting to shake the bad feeling she had.  She wasnt going to overreact.  Maybe it was a friend trying to be funny.  Although, she couldnt understand how anyone could think it was funny.  She turned the volume on the TV back up and tried to take her mind off of it.  But how do you really just let go of that?  She couldnt help but think about it in the back of her mind.
