As the end titles roll, we see the names of the many cast members who helped make Buffy a success. Make-up artists, set designers, visual effects artists, no employee goes unnoticed.
Gordon Abrams's name was never released to the public, not by Joss Whedon, not by Fox or the WB, not by anyone.
".. so I drew a little man and then I had him.. make him go across the screen and then I recorded him saying grr arg."
By keeping Gordon's name to himself, Joss guaranteed no other logo will be like his.He had a unique logo for his company, and Gordon was left without the exposure he was promised. Joss was the only man who knew the truth about Gordon, but since he kept it to himself, the Mutant Enemy's logo was referred to as the 'grr arg' monster. and so the myth was born. No one knew the truth until finally one day, a small NY tabloid released the truth about the infamous logo.
The tabloid was owned by L.H, one of Gordon's high school girlfriends. Miss H was a huge Buffy fan, and decided to blow the whistle on Joss. However, by the time the truth came out it was too late, The damage was done.
