This ford van is operated by the Harford County Evidence Collection Unit (ECU) and is a very important tool for investigating crime scenes. This vehicle is most often used for serious crimes in Harford County and acts as a mobile crime lab preserving and processing evidence until it is brought back to the Aldino Evidence Collection Facility.  But this van would be useless without the highly trained ECU technicians which play a key role in solving cases while working closely with Detectives.
The armored car is used by the Harford County Special Response Team (SRT).  This vehicle is usually needed when an armed suspect(s) refuses to comply with negotiators.  To try and apprehend the suspect(s), the SRT officers will use this bullet resistant car to advance on the location of the potentially armed individual(s) and protect themselves from gun fire or any other dangerous projectiles.
The Sheriff's Scuba Team (SST) uses this Chevy Suburban to carry their heavy oxygen tanks, wet suits, and other scuba gear to different locations around Harford County.  The team is trained in search and recovery and is needed when a person or property is missing and suspected to be in one of the many lakes ponds or rivers in Harford County.
The Envirnmental Crimes Unit (ECU) uses this Jeep to investigate crimes such as waste dumping or the use of illegal and hazardous material.  This unit also cleans accidental spills, helps with the Harford County Emergency Planning Committee, and gets rid of any other potential threats to the envirnment within the county.  This unit plays an essential role by keeping Harford County an envirnmentally clean and safe place to live.
These Harley Davidson motor cycles are owned and operated by the Harford County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit.  This unit is responsible for review of drunk driving reports, tow truck licensing, and accedent reports.  They also plan for parades and any other events which may affect traffic flow.  The Traffic Unit also supplies schools with crossing guards and is in charge of the Advanced Accident Investigators and the Traffic Homicide Investigators.
This Ford Bronco is used by members of the Harford County D.A.R.E. program.  This unit works with concerns or problems a community may have and controls the Neighborhood Watch and Crime Prevention Programs.  This unit is very important in the way that it teaches Harford County's youth the dangers of drug and alcohol use and helps keep our communities safe.
This is the 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor which is used by the Harford County Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol Division.  This Division must respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, investigating crimes, investigating traffic accidents, apprehending offenders, controlling traffic, and maintaining order throughout Harford County.
