Multiethnic ( common ) life

I didn`t have idea what that term really means while I lived in a small suburb ,somewhere in Bosnia. But I will try to describe you now,how I live there, without exaggeration.

I was living with my parents in a little barack with thin and moisture walls, which was assign to us because we lost our house in a slope-fall after bad weather. We had running water and electricity in those barracks and nothing else, except good neighboors. We were all poor and we lived in harmony.I didn`t  know ethnicity origin of my neighboors and I didn`t care.In our society at that time ,it was insignificant detail. Therefore, now,I can only guess by their names what nation did they really belong.

From our right side there were older,Serbian woman with her son and sister in law.In barrack behind us lived journalist which name I forgot.A Muslim family lived above us.Man,woman and two twins. In same raw,at the end ,lived Gipsey`s family with 4 or 5 children.Among them ,one was my best friend. There were many family with mixed ethnical background. For instance, our painter was Serb but his wife was Muslim, our electrician was Croat but his wife was Serb, and so on.But for this story most important are nearest neighboors for which we,not without good cause, usually said:"First neighboor, door to door,is important and closest  than a brother"(Maybe thin walls got some influence,I don`t know...)

From our left side lived a little Muslim family.A man,his disabled wife and his beatifull daughter.A wife didn`t have fingers on her right hand and that effected very rejecting, especially on us,kids.I don`t remember was it  congenital or consequence of car accident or World War 2.Anyway,we were scared to look or shake that hand and we always try to avoid her company. Those family wouldn`t be interesting but, ther was a nice, charming angel with long, black ,curley hair with name -Emina.Emina was a student and lived in a room downtown in a Student centre. She was older than me for about 10 or 11 long, inaccesible years and become a beatiful woman.I was a kid, third grade of elementary school but I knew, just like I know now, what a handsome lady look like.

And one day,it was summer ,lectures at University were finished and she was home.Between two raws of barracks(our and raw above us)was slope covered with green, soft grasss .She weared a cute swiming suit and a hat with broadly brim. She laid down on a blancket to sun herself.I stared through the window, behind curtain at the good shaped body couple meters ahead.I was excited loking at beatiful skin and stoutness my female neighboor...And not just me...Looking carefully intowindows of my neighboors above I saw male faces how secretly stareing ,just like I do in those young and fatfree limbs.Serbs,Croats,Muslim,Jews,Gipseys-they all were united...actually,just a male part!

Many years after that ,I still remember her gorgeous face covered with skin lotion and sunglasses.I don`t know where is Emina now,in Bosnia or anywhere else in the world but I'm sure she is now a beatifull ,mature woman. And  I know, wherever she is menwill see what we see that summer in Bosnia.Just a look on a incredible and unforgetable  beautifull woman  is much important and worth it,then stupidity and madness of a civil war and ethnic cleamsing. Therefore, after years of killing and destruction people from all nations are living in peace, having their same problems and respecting a miracle  of life in differencies.
