Beggar from notebook of Sherlock Holmes
There are many baggers in Belgrade.Especially in downtown.In years go by,there are more and more.People who are pasing by ,watch them with indignation and disregard,and they are swearing very often.
Many explanations are offered for this phenomenon,for considerable number of beggarsand sametime for their maltreatment.One of those is a very interesting story...and it beggining like this:
A very reach or at least wealthy man( known in his environment like man with big house(or maybe two),a car,weekend-lodge etc.)disguised in a beggar ,every day step out from a car and sit down on pavement,extends his right hand and start with solicitation:"Give ne some money good people.I don't have anything to eat!"
With first sign of dark,same car arrives and take him to his home with pockets fool of money,in noumerous enough for him and his family needs(wife,kids,mistress).
Every similarity with Holmes's case of false bagger is accidental?!?
Perfect rationalisation and justification for dehumanization.But there is something whitch existense is unexplainable.At the same time ,at the same place,near baggers who are siting on pavement and blocking the way to pedestrians limo's and other expencive cars rolling over pavement,parking onnhim,passing through red light,infringue the right of way,threat to life and health to all...But there is no stiring up,no curse.With obligated respect they passing by in silence.
In Serbia all life look like traffic and you don't need to be a Sherlock Holmes to discover that.All you need to do is step into the streets...
