WHEREAS, the United Nations (UN) scheduled a conference in Monterrey, Mexico, in March 2002, to discuss international global taxation to fund UN schemes and gain economic control of participating nations; and the UN scheduled a Sustainable Development Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa in September 2002, with the goal of signing an "Earth Charter" in hopes of establishing moral, spiritual and ethical principles for all nations; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED that the Republican Party in the above-named precinct urges Congress to oppose the UN anti-sovereignty, unconstitutional agenda, and to withdraw all funding from all such anti-American programs; and

BE IT RESOLVED that each County Republican Executive Committee send a copy of this resolution to President Bush, to the Majority and Minority Leaders of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, to Senator Phil Gramm, and to each member of the Texas delegation in the U.S. House; and

BE IT RESOLVED that each citizen who supports this resolution takes upon himself the responsibility of writing to Senator Hutchison, Senator Gramm, and his Congressman on this issue before September 2002.
