RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE RIGHT TO LIFE

WHEREAS, The Republican Party of Texas believes the unborn child has a fundamental right to life, which cannot be infringed,

BE IT RESOLVED by the Republican Party in the above-named precinct that we support a Human Life Amendment to the United States Constitution that would protect innocent human life from the point of conception until the time of natural death. We endorse legislation to make it clear that the 14th Amendment's protections apply to unborn children. We oppose using public revenues for abortions. We oppose public funding of organizations that advocate abortion. We commend those who provide alternatives to abortion by meeting the needs of the mothers and offering adoption services. We support judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity of life.

The foregoing resolution was properly submitted in triplicate and was adopted by the Republican voters in the above-referenced precinct in convention on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
