WHEREAS, China leads the world in the oppression of women, forcing abortions if one-child-per-family policies are broken and allows orphaned girls to starve if they are not killed at birth; and

WHEREAS, the leading economic power in China is the People's Liberation Army (PLA) whose trade profits go to international armaments proliferation, as they supply American street gangs with AK-47s; and

WHEREAS, $40 billion trade deficit with China continues to increase, flooding the United States with foreign goods made with slave labor, and

WHEREAS, a top Pentagon analyst testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee on September 18, 1997 that his translations of Chinese military publications show they are planning on war with the U.S. and consider America a waning power;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Republican Party of Texas should ask Congress to revoke "Most Favored Nation" status for China.
