RESOLUTION ON CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

WHEREAS, certain crimes are of such a nature as to be so destructive to society and so heinous that the only workable deterrent is to rid society forever of the perpetrator; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED that the Republican Party in the above-named precinct urges the legislatures and the courts of the State of Texas and of the United States to uphold and support laws allowing capital punishment in the case of certain crimes.

The foregoing resolution was properly submitted in triplicate and was adopted by the Republican Party in the above-referenced precinct on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
