I am a Republican of the Abraham Lincoln Republicans and the Teddy Roosevelt Republicans. I have been involved in Republican politics for many years. As a moderate Republican, I served three years as chairman of the Greater Marion County Young Republicans. I was also Region 5 Director for the Federation of Illinois Young Republicans, which covered the 24 southern counties of Illinois, serving in that capacity for three years. I was voted 1996 Illinois Young Republican of the Year, which was a very pleasant surprise for me, receiving my award at the FIYR Convention in Peoria that year. I served as an officer of the St. Louis Log Cabin Republicans.
I fear where the republican party has been going the last few years. I have found myself voting more and more for those running against republicans. I feel that many of the leaders of the Republican Party have been leading our beloved GOP away from it roots and have been heading us in a very dangerous direction. I just hope that the party can rid itself of those who wish to use the Constitution of the United States as a weapon of hate and inequality. To write, for the first time in our American history, into the United States Constitution, a discimnatory law. The Party of Lincoln, which stands for freedoms, equality, less government, fiscal responsibility, strong military, fewer taxes, is the party I'm hoping will once again be the GRAND OLE PARTY.

I have been a republican my entire life. I've worked hard getting republicans elected to office. I've walked in parades, gone door to door, made phone calls, etc. This year I am supporting the democratic candidate for President of the United States. I feel that Barack Obama is a good man and I believe he is willing to make the changes that need to be made in this country. I believe the Republican Party as a whole has been steadily moving away from the Party of Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. It is hard to support candidates who would like to take the United States back to the witch burning days of New England. I believe that Barack Obama is the better candidate for president. I also believe he is closer to being a president like Abraham Lincoln than the Republicans choice. So I whole-heartily support Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States of America.
I am a major fan of our congressman of the Illinois 20th District, JOHN SHIMKUS. He is one of those rare politicians who truly are honest and who work very hard for the people of their districts. He takes the time to listen to what his constituents have to say. He doesn't just let you talk, he actually listens! He really cares!
It is so nice to have someone like John Shimkus representing the 20th Congressional District, the Lincoln Seat, the Congressional District that Abraham Lincoln held. He has a lovely wife, Karen and three sons, which gives him a great desire to be a Congressman who we can all be proud of.
The photo was taken at the Lemen-Frakes House in Salem, Marion County, Illinois on Sunday, 16 March 2003. Pictured left to right is Philip H. Frakes, Senator Dan Rutherford, Marion County Republican Chairman Gerald Cooper and Stephen P. H. Frakes.
Senator Dan Rutherford is an Illinois State Senator of the 53rd District. His home being in Pontiac, Livingston County, Illinois. Dan held the office of State Representative for several years before becoming a senator. He has worked hard for the working family, the small businessman and Illinois farmer.
I served as Marion County Coordinator for Judy Baar Topinka
our beloved Illinois State Treasurer. This wonderful woman, first female treasurer of the State of Illiniois, took our state treasury out of the dark ages and into the computer age. She has also made ONE BILLION DOLLARS for the state!
Not only is Judy Baar Topinka very intelligent, she is one of the nicest and most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. She has never let her political successes go to her head.
Judy was re-elected to her second term as Illinois State Treasurer on November 3, 1998. Judy was re-elected to her 3rd term November 4, 2002 and was the only republican to win the election for an Illinois State Constitutional Officer.

I'm a major supporter of Arizona State Senator, Linda Binder. She has so much to offer the State of Arizona.
She Believes In Arizona!!!
Linda was Arizona State Senate for District 3 and before that, she had been Arizona State Representative of District 1 for two terms.
