007th Zig-Zag v2.3 (puzzle game where you had to rotate two symbols to get 5 symbols ina row. The symbols followed a snake like route where the game would end if they reached the end. The designer of the game must have been a James Bond fan because the game had a variety of wav files devoted to the movie.)

3D Ultra Lionel Train Town Deluxe (not really much different than the original non "ultra editon"...The games concept has you moving loads..switching tracks and crashing trains...oops..I guess that last part is not part of what you had to do but it was fun anyways. :) Game got boring after awhile...if you already like remote control train sets..you might enjoy this one a little longer than I did.)

3DX Fun Pack v1.1 (collection of games from a 3D Tetris game to a regular tetris clone...There was also a game of reversi in it..and one of those games where you have to line up 5 balls in a row. Not bad..I found the music kind of annoying though)

3D Bowling USA (bowling game that has pretty basic graphics. To throw the ball it had a engine similar to golf games where you have to click when the power gets to a certain level. Once we figured out how to put spin on the ball we did pretty good and scored 135. Good is relative because our first game we only got 32! heheh)

3D Dragon Castle (another updated old game from the devolopers at Web Foot...this game is a remake of the classic game Joust. You control a dragon and have to kill the other dragons on the level by flying and hitting the top of them. You can also breath fire and kill some rhinocerous type creatures. The levels were kind of in 3D so there was a little more depth to them then the original 2D Joust game. It was ok...Mav really sucked at it though! hehe)

3D Hyper Space Fighters (Galaxian clone from Webfoot which was pretty fun although the graphics were in very low res. I think Webfoot makes all their games so they can look good in a postage stamp type box but put it in full screen and all you see is giant pixels! The game played quite the same as the original except you got some different weapons like flamethrowers, a three-pronged laser gun, etc. You could also press space and kind of do a manuever to avoid enemy attacks.)

The race tracks have a variety of shortcuts as long as you hit the checkpoints you can go whereever you want. The computer drivers seemed quite adept at finding these offroad excursions and were quite challenging. I found the checkpoint areas to be too narrow and I lost many a race by missing them.)

Airfix Dogfighter (when I installed this game, I wasn't expecting too much. There was absolutely no hype for this game, but the moment I first took off the runway and explored the intricate house landscapes, I was hooked! The airplane controls were perfect, the airplanes each had their their own feel. It felt like you were diving bombing with a Stuka, or strafing with a Japanese Zero. This game was a joy to play all around.)

Airline Tycoon- First Class (Airline sim where you compete against 3 other airline tycoons to gain the most money and market share. The game has nice cartoony graphics and your character moves around the airport just as he/she would do in real life. Unfortunately this doesn't help the game because in the long run it is very boring. All you do is make flights and make sure they are executed before your opponents. You have to keep favour with the Airport manager and get briefed during daily meetings on how you are doing. There are some side things you can do like pay your mechanics less/more money, invest stock in your company ,etc. But like I said before, it was just boring!)

This time you had to break codes of symbols...to do so, you had to solve a puzzle revolving around moving crates, rocks and balls. The games graphics are pretty old school and you have to read the text because the characters do not talk. I didn't care much for the game especially since I didn't play it around Christmas time. I guess it would be an ok game for parents to allow their kids to play because there is no violence or gore.)

Aladdin Nasiras Revenge (Disney platform game based on the movie by the same title. The game was ok, your character Aladdin could do a variety of moves with his sword and swing on vines, jump, etc. The game played quite similar to Hercules and other Disney games. One thing I like about these games is that they are made so kids can enjoy them as well. The genie would appear every so often and give you hints on special moves and bonuses that you could collect. My only complaint was that it got way too hard in the early stages of the game.)

Allegiance (3d space simulator type of game. Graphics were ok...It is an online only game which is kind of stupid. The only stuff you can do offline is training type of missions. I found it hard to vector on your enemies and the weapons did very little damage. One thing that was neat about it was that you had to accept orders from a commander who was another player.)

Ant Run Pro v1.1 (This is one of those games where you rearrange pipes so that the constantly flowing water or oil keeps flowing down the line. The difference in this game is that instead of water or oil, you are rearranging ant tunnels so your ant doesn't get lost.)

Asterix- The Gallic War (Game based on the cartoon characters Asterix and Obelix. The game was a risk type of game where you move armies around a map trying to take different territories while the Romans did the same. In some territories to take them you had to perform and arcade game like find a cerain amount of pots in a beat'em up type level, or whack the roman where you pound on as many Roman heads as you can in a certain time limit. Another game had you trying to throw a Roman over a certain distance kind of like the shotput. The game was ok...and the arcade games were fun the first time, but as the computer took your lands it got frustrating to have to do the same level over and over again!)

Aquarium (Blech! This game reminded me of games made for the Gameboy and I bet you it was ported from a console. The concept is too build a aquarium by acquiring new fish, hiring cleaners, doctors, etc. The game concept could have been fun if it actually utilized the power of the pc. Stay clear of this one and wait for a "Sim Aquarium" or something similar to come out!)

Arkanoid-The Virtual Isles v1.0 (arkanoid game with a twist...had things that fell down that when you collected them would give you money so you could upgrade to get powerups. Also the screen kept moving up into different levels as the ball moved up the screen. This led to some challenging areas which was kind of fun. The only thing I didn't like was the dropping money was disorienting at times because I would mistake them for the ball.)

Armies of Armageddon WDK2K Expansion Pack Tour of Duty 44 (expanison pack which gave you some cool WW2 missions. One mission in particular that was fun was the storming the beach scenario. It was kind of tedious getting your guys to the wall on the beach but after that it was pretty fun. Most of our guys were cut down when storming the bunkers but a few got through and grenaded them. Too bad the scenario ended just before we were ready to win.)

Avernum v1.0 (roleplaying game which had pretty ancient graphics. Looked like it could be fun though but I couldn't really get into it. The story has you committing some type of "political crime" and being sentenced to Avernum which is an underground community. The first thing I did when I was down there was I tried to steal some weapons from a shop owner. That wasn't a smart idea because my party was killed in two seconds!)

Avery Cardozas 500 Slots And Video Poker (more slots, more video poker but alas, same type of boring gameplay. Practically everyone one of the machines behaved the same way. The only unique one that I saw was one that dealt 3 hands. The double up features were even boring, with the standard high card wins. ho hum.)

Axelerator (also called N.I.C.E....the game is a racing game where you are encouraged to play dirty during the races. I was winning my race but on the last lap I had 90 % damage and lost a few spots....about 50 feet from the end of the race, my car was wrecked but luckily the stupid computers just ran into the back of my car and pushed me over the finish line! heheh)

B-17 Flying Fortress (This game should have been a great game. The graphics were awesome and the ability to be pilot, co-pilot, gunner, tail gunner, belly gunner, radio operator, etc is awesome. The big problem is the controls. I couldn't do half the stuff. I couldn't gain control from the computer and all I could do is make my guys move around the plane...bail out and look at the great graphics.)

Bang! Gunship Elite (I saw a review which called this game Starlance-lite or Diet Freespace, but I think that would be giving this game too much credit. The graphics were not up to the standards of the latter and the physics were much more simplified. I did, however, like the targeting system that it used, you didn't have to try and shoot an enemy ship for two hours because his shields kept replenishing. Usually 1 or 2 shots killed the ship. The only problem with this was that Gunship elite decided to have you face off with 50 million ships!)

Barbie and Her Magical Dreamhouse (My neice liked this game...essentially the game allows you to explore Barbies house....there are lots of hotspots to click on and some mini games to play. You can dress Barbie, put make up on her, play a puzzle game and a matching game. Not bad...if you are into Barbie I guess! ;P)

Battle of Britain (unlike the above game this version is a 3d flight simulator of the battle of Britain. You do have the option of managing the war as well by setting waypoints, patrols and evaluating pilot performances. The graphics were pretty good and the modelling seemed felt accurate. I found it quite hard though and kept crashing alot! heheh)

Black Star- First Attack v1.5 (my friend had told me before I tried this that it sucked. I asked him what type of game it was and he replied "arcade shoot 'em up". I thought to myself, "it can't be too bad. Arcade shooters have been around for years in the arcades, they must have perfected them by now!" I was wrong. This game wouldn't have gotten any quarters in 1985 let alone nowadays. The enemies were just basic and their patterns predictable. It was almost tedious to play. Don't waste your time.)

Blair Witch Vol.1- Rustin Parr (Nocturne powered game based on the blockbuster hit Blair Witch. The game takes place as a prequel and is only really loosely tied with the movie. The game did sport some nice graphics. The clothing on your character would flow and change direction depending on where your character was moving. It was a really neat effect. The game however was way too dark. I could barely see where I was going. There was a monitor calibration setup but it didn't work for me since my monitor was set at its highest settings and I couldn't brighten things anymore. It bugs me that they wanted us to screw up our monitor settings for their game instead of creating gamma correction within the game. Bleh!)

Boards and Blades 2 (just a typical skateboarding game similar to the Tony Hawks series. Except this one didn't have that good graphics. The levels were kind of boring but you could at least pull off some neat stunts at times. The camera angle would go quite screwy when you went up a ramp, making it hard to judge where to land. You had to score a certain amount of points to unlock other maps. But I'm obviously not the target market for this type of game, and I couldn't have been bothered to see any more.)

Bob (puzzle game where you have to collect all the pellets on the level or at least get to the exit. There are certain colour pellets that have to be eaten last. To stop you from clearing the levels there are rocks that disintergrate when you pass over them, monsters, and various other obstacles. Not bad...but not overly good either.)

Bonzala (This game just plain sucks! I think it is supposed to be some type of 3d pacman type game...you have a bird going down a 3d loopy track collecting little coins...and trying to dodge some big fat ghosts or whatever they were. Anyways...the games graphics were horrible and chugged on my system even though it had no excuse to do so. I even had trouble getting the game to work and almost uninstalled it. Now after I played it...I wish I did! It would have saved me this abuse!)

Boorps Balls v1.0 (I've seen a derivative of this game in the arcades. Essentially you had to replace coloured balls from above with the balls that were in your hand. If a row of balls were the same colour they would then disappear. The hard part is that they are slowly moving down toward you. This game was ok but became quite fun once we tried head to head matchups. Goose kicked Mav's butt!)

There was computer slowdown when there was multiple balls on the screen [though I have a p3 550]. I beat the second boss and then for some reason it wouldn't let me advance!)

Already, I know I won't like this game. :) The game had you drive a 4x4 vehicle on certain missions like "explore" or "endurance". There didn't seem to be any racing modes and I had trouble going up any hills. I would shift gears to get enough momentum but then it seemed that it shifts all by itself. Lets just say that I played it for 15 minutes and then wanted to punch my monitor. 'nuff said.)

Catechumen (If you've ever seen The Simpsons where Bart is playing a game with Todd Flanders trying to convert some pagans then you've seen this game. His classic line of "You've just winged and turned him into a Unitarian" reminded me of this game. The object is to escape from the Romans and by using your Holy sword you can convert them to Christianity. There is absolutely no violence in the game. Even when the enemies hit you they only grab on to you. This is quite unique for a first person shooter. However the only thing going for this game is uniqueness since the engine is very dated and the game is quite repetitive converting people and picking up holy scrolls for health.)

For the cheaters out there or someone who just needs help with their angles, there is a nice little button that shows you where all the balls are going to head with the amount of power and angle you have it set. This is more useful then other programs that I have seen because it actually shows you where the ball or balls are going to rest once the shot is done.)

Championship Surfer (a pretty good surfing game. It beat the body boarding games that were similarly released in the past. You could pick certain people and depending on their stats, you were able to do various tricks and jumps. I liked the girl, she seemed the best suited to my style [which is pathetic newbie level]. By scoring a certain amount of points, you could unlock new beaches and overall, this game was a fun little diversion. I unlocked 4-5 beaches before I got bored. BTW, Goose sucked at this game :) )

Chicken Run (Another chicken run game but this one is more of an adventure type game. The game has you exploring the level avoiding guard dogs and people trying to find a variety of items so the chickens can forge them into an escape attempt. The game was ok but I found it was overly hard especially for a kids type game. It did use alot of scenes from the movie which was pretty cool)

Needless to say, this went into the recycle bin fairly quickly.)

Clonk Planet v4.61 (building game where you have to build different structures and mine gold, chop wood, etc. The game is played in real time..but is just a scrolling screen where your character can move from side to side or dig down into the ground. I didn't much care for the control scheme and them game was pretty boring.)

Close Combat 5 Invasion Normandy (pretty much the same as part 4 but instead the game lets you play missions based on the normandy campaign. Quite fun again. The weapons all have great sounds and the graphics are quite good for a wargame. The action is all in real-time with your men performing acts of bravery or cowardice depending on the stresses of war.)

Clusterball (An online game from the people who make realplayer. I was quite worried when I saw that but the graphics were actually quite crisp. The object (though I can't really be sure) was to gather these balls and then return them into a hoop for points. You do this with another 6 other peeps doing the same thing. You can also shoot down the other ships and try to hinder their clusterball collection. Its ok but wasn't my type of game by a longshot)

Code Head XTreme Culture (This is basically just a trivia game trying to mimic the "You Don't Know Jack" series. Unfortunately it doesn't work because the host is not funny, the game is too weird, and the questions are fairly easy. Most of the questions deal with "What does this word mean?" or "Can you tell me what the synonym of this word is?" Don't get me wrong, the game is ok. However it gets boring fast and you can only play with one or two players.)

Colin McRae Rally 2 (a very fun rally racing game....the game had fairly good physics and you really had to learn to powerslide around corners. The best part of the game is the split screen mode. Mav got his butt kicked by Goose...although a few of the games were close. I emphasize the word "few". heheh)

Color Blocks v1.2 (pretty good tetris game...I liked the sound effects and the fact that you could slide the blocks around if you made a mistake and nudge it into the right spot. The game also had two other versions of tetris...a vertical and horizontal color tetris where you change the colors and try to match 3 or more in a row. I did pretty good..although sometimes I would get a bunch of combos and not mean it. To succeed despite idiocy I guess. heheh)

Color Hunt v2.0 (similar game to those matching games where you have to move 5 colors to be moved beside each other. This one is different however because instead of moving the colors next to each other...you just needed to move 5 colors on their corresponding squares. I found it much easier than the other types.)

Combat Mission Beyond Overlord (awesome wargame...now this is how they should all be made. The graphics are very good for a wargame and let you pan around from all angles. The sound effects are top notch and the gameplay is great. The cool thing about this game is that it is somewhere between turned based games and real time strategies. You plan your moves before time...and then for a minute you watch what happens unable to affect the game. This adds alot of tension to the game ..especially if you get ambushed)

Crate Man v1.1c (puzzle game similar to Ronnie's Resort...you have to move your character around, jumping, pushing balls, picking up and moving crates..to make your way to the exit. The levels usually require you to do things exactly right or you screw yourself. Not bad...I liked the fact it showed you the solution if you were stuck so at you least you know the level was possible. Not really a game for a Quake 3 addict though! ;))

Crazy Emperor v1.3 (card game where you had to move cards around with one card beating the other card that you are replacing. Essentially you want to eventually move all the cards sorted in their suit. The game was quite challenging because as you moved certain cards, you made spaces and if you made the wrong move, you may trap a card with spaces all around them.)

Crimson skies (This game is a very well done arcade shooter. The game is part air plane simulator and part E. Flynn movie. The premise of the game is an alternate history where America never recovers from the stock market crash and the states break up into separate countries. The Hindenberg disaster never happens and aviation becomes the prime method of travel. The time period is in the 1930s and the music, planes and characters reflect the time period. It is a blast flying your planes around blimps, through the O in the famous HOLLYWOOD sign and dogfighting between skyscrapers in Manhattan. During the missions you will rescue damsels from trains, dock with floating blimps, hijack bombers while in the air and other daring pirate attacks. The game is awesome. Some might complain that the flight model is too forgiving but the game is hard enough with out worrying about stalling your aircraft or doing too many G's.)

My niece liked the game but the mini games got boring for her after awhile.)

Daria's Inferno (This is a weird adventure game where you have to guide Daria through a dream of her being in a weird hell. You have to collect several objects while avoiding kids on tricycles, cheerleaders, annoying jocks, etc. If they hit you, your annoyance rating goes up and you quit the level. This isn't a big problem because you can reenter the game where you left off but it does add to the frustration on certain levels. Think budget adventure game and you got Daria's Inferno.)

Dark Secrets of Africa (This game feels kind of like Diablo but in a non fantasy setting. The game has you controlling an archeologist who is searching for treasure in the temples of Africa. You can hire carriers and workers to help you and have to worry about things such as thirst, hunger, sleep and vitality. I liked getting a large group of guys working for me since the bad guys liked to attack them before me! The controls are kind of a little clunky for picking up items. You have to right click to see what is on the ground and then click on them. Why the designers couldn't have saved us a step and just let us pick them up off the ground individually is beyond me.)

Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX (in the bmx, skateboarding, rollerblading genre where you must do various tricks to score points on different landscapes. One good thing about this one, is it had pretty decent graphics and the soundtrack got you in the mood for this type of "extreme sports". The tricks are fairly easy to pull off with a joystick but to unlock more tracks, you have to be able to do certain tricks in certain spots. That was the problem for me, I couldn't seem to do a 360 over a certain spot, so I couldn't unlock the next mission. But it was still a blast to race around the track, plulling off some great stunts, all with a pulse-pounding soundtrack!)

Only difference in this game was that you had some Irish dude taunting your bad moves. Lets just say he taunted me alot! Deep Raider (When I first booted up this game I thought it was going to be a sub combat game. Instead the game has you controlling a woman who rides under the sea on a dolphin. The graphics are really bad and you can only see a few feet in front of you. When you go to the surface the graphics get even worst. Worse still, most of the time you have to look at your characters butt. Not a bad thing when you are looking at a nice butt like Lara Croft's but in this game it wasn't a good thing. The cutscenes made me laugh though as they were quite corny.)

Deep Space Nine- The Fallen (third person action game...pretty good graphics based on the unreal tournament engine....The game had three storylines..one with Worf, Sisko and Kira. It had lots of neat things that they do in Star Trek like modulating your phasers to punch through shields, etc...but these very elements made the game tedious at times. For instance, using your tricorder to find a cloaded wall.)

Deer Hunter 4 (pretty much the same as previous versions...this one however did have a neat multiplayer mode where you could play on the interent with other hunters. You can even play as the deer if you want. I got one deer when he tried to run into water. I didn't like the fact that you had to sight your gun instead of having it all ready for you.)

Deus Ex (First person shooter game that was pretty fun but still not my favorite game of the genre. The game allowed you to either use stealth or go in guns ablazing. It also gave you tonnes of weapons and items to use. You can throw items and distract guards, kill them silently and then move their bodies in the shadows. Another option would be just to pull out the sniper rifle and pick them off from afar. Personally I found No One Lives Forever to be a superior game then Deus Ex.)

Dirt Track Racing Australia Holden (practically the same thing as Dirt Track Racing Sprint Cars, except here you get the various tracks from Australia. I tried career mode, where you can purchase a car, buy parts for it, and then pay for various races in hopes to win enough prize money to get upgrades etc. The tracks were kind of boring with most just variations of an oval or circle track. Usually it was easy to stay in first place once yo got there, you just had to master the art of powersliding on the corders. Just a middle of the pack game, nothing outstanding, but nothing seriously flawed either.)

Disney Magical Racing Tour (racing game which pitted Chip and Dale against various other disneyesque characters. [though some of them I didn't recognize]. The game play was fairly fast and furious and you had to collect powerups to gain weapons. Each race won would give you a piece for a fireworks machine. The flaw in this game was that it became incrediably hard after the first 4 races. The computers also were able to turn your car into a frog, something I couldn't stop. However, it would only affect my car sometimes. WTF?)

Earth Defense Ship One v1.0 (this game sucks. Firstly, the cutscenes look like they were made with the windows paint program. Secondly, the voice overs are done using a microphone. You can actually here the person blowing into the mic. It was quite funny. The game play is very crappy with just a few repeating sprites coming at you while you blast away at them. Though don't get me wrong, if I had made it, I would be pretty proud of it. But I wouldn't charge money for it.)

Who wants to play a main character who knows what semen tastes like! Blech, I think I'm gonna puke now.)

Escape from Monkey Island (another classic game in this great series of adventure games. The games characters have changed from their cartoony look of part 3 to a 3d modelled look that was initially developed for Grim Fandingo. The system works great and I loved the in game graphics and cutscenes. The voice acting as always was top notch as well. My only complaint was toward the end of the game there were quite a few tedious puzzles to solve. Although monkey combat was quite funny the first time I tired it, to learn all the moves to defeat your multiple opponent monkeys quickly became a chore. If you like adventure games like I do, I highly reccommend this game.)

ESPN's 2 Minute Drill (sports trivia game which was very hard. I'm not a total sports nut but I do know quite a bit and I found a lot of the questions were quite obscure. One of the main problems with the game was the two minute time limit. It was too tough trying to answer a bunch of questions in that short a time limit. Another annoying feature were the announcers. I don't mind smart alecky announcers. In fact, I am a big fan of the You Don't Know Jack trivia series. All the announcers do is slam you even when you think you did pretty good.)

F-18 E Super Hornet Albanian Campaign (expansion pack misssions for this hornet simulator. If you like the original this might be a worthwhile add-on. I like simulators but this one was especially detailed from stalls, to just trying to figure out the proper procedure to launch off your carrier. The graphics are amazing for this game.)

F1 Championship Season 2000 (impressive EA Sports F1 racing sim. Very nice graphics and had all the drivers and car models. Only thing I didn't understand was the steering assisted option. Why would anyone use that? You might as well stick it on demo. I really suck at these racing games...and tried to just finishing the race without being in last place. I succeeded! I finished 21/22! :))

F1 Manager 2000 (manager sim for formula one racing cars. Not too bad...the graphics for the racing were pretty good and you could tell when you wanted your guys to pit, to be aggressive, etc. My Arrow team was pretty sucky though.)

Falling Balls v2.2 (another tetris type game...in this one you couldn't rotate your pieces or change your colors. The object was to match 3 colors in a row. The neat thing about the game is if you matched 4 in a row you got a bonus which let you clear some of the play area. Also you could turn the whole board upside down and possibly make some matches that way)

Fire Fighter In The Line of Duty (I wasn't expecting much when I first heard of this game. Firstly, it was released by Activsion Value (head games) and their first foray into firefighting was terrible. It was a 3rd person perpective sprite-fest and had poor pathfinding which made it impossible to put out fires. In this game, it was a nice 1st shooter perspective. You would either break doors down or use a fire extinguisher to rescue various people in a burning building. Very atmostpheic and top notch, though I got a little queasy in some smoke-choking levels. Another part of the game had you putting out the fires, this wasn't as good as the rescue part, but did offer a change of pace.)

Fist of the North Star (This is a pretty stupid game. The main object is to type letters on a keyboard as fast as you can. The game is a fighting game so if you succeed, your character hits your opponent and he loses some energy. If you take too long, you get hit. In the later levels the game is almost impossible. It was also in chinese so I coudln't understand what anyone was saying. I also hate overly grutitous violence and this game had it in spades. When you defeated your opponent, he burst apart with blood and guts flying everywhere. This is totally unnecessary especially for a typing game!)

Floyds Bumpershoot v1.0 (kind of a mindsweeper logic type game. However in this game you have to take pool shots on different areas of a pool table and see where the ball goes. Then you have to determine where there are bumpers on the table. Pretty boring concept really.)

Flying Heroes (reminded me of magic carpet but alot better. You control a flyer and essentially compete to win different tournaments by deathmatching in the air against each other. Sometimes there are mini missions like tag, etc. I found it quite fun, the controls were a little unwieldy at first but I eventually found them intuitive. The weapons were also quite fun with my favorite being the fireball.)

Forbidden Forest 3 (remake of the classic c-64 game Forbidden Forest. Not bad...but the graphics were kind of dated and with my video card when it turned night I couldn't see anything hardly. They gave the guy an updated dance at the end of a mission which was kind of nice to see them keeping true to the original. It also had the same enemies...skeletons, spiders, bees, etc. The best part was they gave you the original version as well)

Freddi Fish and Luthers Water Worries (This is a kids game where you proceed through the levels by guiding your fish and shooting bubbles with a pea shooter. I know what your are thinking. Why? Personally I don't really know but that's the game. Anyway certain bubbles have worms which are good and certain have bad fish and other nasty critters. This game was pretty boring. Even my two neices who are in the age group that this game is catering to found the game immensely annoying.)

The concept of the game is to ride through different locations doing tricks to get sponsors and then entering contests. You can do quite a bit of moves. Frog Hop v1.1 (this game is essentially the same as oil's well...where the oil goes through pipes and you have to move the pipes to redirect it. In this game you have to redirect a frog through lily pads...One thing I didn't like was that you needed a certain amount of points to get to a new level. Once you had enough points, the exit would open..but by this time it would be really hard to plan to get to the exit)

Frogger 2 (nice update for the classic frogger game...but the single player version is kind of dull. Just the same old think, rescuing frog after frog! Wait a sec, that's how the original was, and that was fun! hehe. G-Tok (a 3d space shooter. The object was to protect several bases from alien attack. Graduation 2000 (nothing really different from the original Graduation except this time I heard talking from the girls. The game had very annoying midi music that I eventually turned it off. The object is to teach the 5 girls and make sure they all go to prestigious universities. You can however get into relationships with your students. (umm...isn't that something that should be frowned upon) Anyways..the game gets boring pretty fast!)

Grand Prix 3 (pretty nice racing game with some nice graphics. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't configure the keyboard. In the race, I was running first for most of the race, but wiped out on the last lap and ended up 21st. hehe...damn water on the track!! )

Grand Prix Evolution (Furturistic racing game...no weopons involved so I didn't find it that fun. They had a magnetic effect that tried to keep you on the track if you flew off which I found ruins the point of any skill in a racing game. It also prevented you from turning around and heading in the wrong direction...always a favorite of mine! ;) Graphics were dull and I even flew through some walls on the track like they weren't even there.)

I really kicked butt on the blackjack game. However I didn't like the way you selected cards in the card games and everytime you lost a hand in blackjack...you had to bet all over again. Grrrr! ;) )

Ground Control (3d real time strategy game. I didn't like it at first because the camera angles can make the fighting quite confusing. But once you get used to it, its tolerable. The game was fun to play although I was playing on "pussy" difficulty :p. Mav had more trouble with the camera angles than I did. He sucks! hehe)

Gunocide 2 (old school space invaders type shooter game. This game was pretty hard...the aliens shot so much flak down toward you it was hard to get underneath them to make a shot. Some of the aliens shot following bullets that travelled diagonally toward you. The game had bonuses but I am not sure what they really did for you. It also had a time limit for some reason which never reset..even after you cleared a level.)

Gunman Chronicles (Halflife engine based game...pretty good especially since the game began its life as a total conversion mod by a group of amateurs. The game has all the nice stuff from halflife in it except they added that long boring ride at the starting.)

Heroes Chronicles Clash of the Dragons (see Heroes Chronicles Conquest of the Underworld. The game is the same but with a different campaign. I did however notice quite a few new units in this campaign game. First of all there is the sniper which only Tarnum can use and these are just upgraded human archers. They are deadly if you have a bunch of them. The other new units were mostly dragons like Azure Dragons, Diamond and a few others that I forget. They were quite tough since some of them had the ability to cast high level spells and had 1000 hp each!)

Horse Racing Fantasy (just a basic horse racing simulator. You place bets on a horse to win, place, and show. Then you can watch the race and cheer for your horse(s). It wasn't too bad. I only did a $5 bet on a horse at the start to test it and my horse had hopelessly fallen to near last with only 1 furlong left in the race. However, he made a miraculous comeback to win it for me! I guess it isn't the glue factory after all little horsey. :p)

Hot Wheels Slot Car Racing (This is just a computer representation of the Hot Wheel racing games where you just hold down the accelerator and your car goes down the track. There is no steering allowed. The computer version is quite easy but there are a few curve balls that they throw your way. You can move from one side of the track to the other and you have to do this quite often as there numerous obstacles to avoid. You also have to make sure that on tight corners you take the outside lane so you don't fly of the track. Some of the obstacles are impossible to avoid.)

House of the Dead 2 (sequel to the first House of the Dead. Pretty much the same gameplay and everything. You can go multiple routes by saving civilians and pick up bonuses by destroying crates and vases. We were disappointed with the lack of a graphical update to the game. The game still uses non 3D accellerated graphics and the english translation is quite bad. However it is really fun to play especially if you have two players playing. The longevity of the game might be short...but you will have a blast playing it while it lasts.)

They were pretty fun...especially the parchisi game which Mav won barely. One thing we noticed was that the scorekeeping for the parchisi game was slightly different in determining who finished second, third and fourth.)

I hate Sierra shipping new products out without any significant upgrades and that slapping a 2001 in front of it. It had the typical casino games such as blackjack, video poker, roulette, craps, casino, slots, etc. The menu system was situated like a layout of a typical casino which made it quite easy to get to your favorite games. I personally don't know what the appeal is for casino games since most of them are quite boring especially if there is no "real" money involved!)

Hugo 3D (Platform game where you control your character from the 3rd person perspective. You had three action moves: jump, whip or crawl. The games controls were fairly responsive and the graphics were nice but the difficulty got quite high very quickly. I guess I'm not a joystick jock anymore! ;) Stupid Venus flytraps!)

Hunt for Red Baron (WWI action flight sim....pretty fun..the flight controls are done with the mouse which suprisingly was quite intuitive. The graphics were nice with satisfying explosions when the planes hit the ground. The missions ranged from taking out planes, bombing missions, to escort missions. I liked it quite a bit until I got stuck on a African mission where I had to take out the ship turrets)
