First off you need to graduate high school with fair grades (atleast a C average or a 2.0 GPA). If you are under 16 you need to keep your grades up too. However there is another way to help you increase your chances. This is CAP (Civil Air Patrol). It is a volunteer service where you can learn to fly cessna's (Small aircraft) for FREE! You can log flying hours (Which will help with your flight training) while volunterring. You don't need flight hours before you start pilot training, but they really help. Next you need to be commissioned officer and all officers need a college degree. You can get this 2 ways. One way is to go to a college of your choice and attend ROTC as an elective. The military will help pay for some of your college. The other way (which I recommend) is to go to a military academy.
